It's been a while since I showed up here and I come with some news~
These past years I've been working on a novel, and it's gone through a lot of work, revisions, sensitivity reading... Before I start querying it to literary agents, I'm opening it to beta reading.
If you liked my comics and aren't averse to reading, you might just like Wayward Sons. It's full with queer/ND/disability rep, fantasy aliens, and... guess the MC is an awkward engineer (but not really like Finch...)
If you're interested in beta or just want a sneak peek, check this out:

As for myself, I'm doing well. I'm primarily active on Discord these days, and on Twitter as @SimpleLysle (Lysle Enkelman is my pen name for book writing)
Hey people, idk if anyone will see this but I'll be streaming now, and hopefully throughout the next days and the weekend. Come join in if you can! o u o

Alex!!!! I'm so glad you're still around! I hope you're doing good! I was just thinking about you yesterday, hoping all is fine for you! (and wishing the same to some other readers too)
So, I tried to make an update in the summer, and I failed very much. It was just *too* *many* *cats* to have any time to do anything. Zikul and I were sort of forced to take care of a homeless cat and her six baby kittens, and it was hectic, even more so as we had been preparing to have a puppy in September. Well, that ended up being two humans, six kittens, a puppy and a cranky old cat. Much to manage and a lot of unforeseen costs as well.
At last, we've now found adopting families, and we're just keeping two of the kittens here: Mila (on the picture) and Nikki (not on the picture). Our young doggle is called Signe and she's a good girl.
I'm currently undergoing uncertain times with my job so I'm a bit stressed, and working as a cleaner isn't top best for my wrist so I'm questioning a lot of things. I want to see if I can access studies to become a french teacher here in Sweden, and I'm very much yearning to get back to my series. I think of SH a lot, I think of CD as well... I just know that there's still too much happening in my life to plug back in safely.
I miss you all, folks, that's for certain. I see your usernames, your avatars, I recall all those nice discussions we had, or just that little moment of happiness when I got notifications that you subscribed to a series... I hope you're doing well, and if not, I certainly wish it gets better soon. We carry on!
Definitly sounds like hectic times for you. Understandable that you were focus with those things first.
I wish you - both of you - all the best with everything! <3
And oh gosh, all those cats and the dog are so adorable!
your animal children are lovely, and so are you, best wishes for you in your new career path, i hope that you find a job that is good for your health, happy halloween ^^
Hi dears,
it's been a long time since I gave any news, so I figured I'd let you know that while 2017 was a very shitty year in many ways, 2018 is incredibly much better. I got a job, my employers are nice, I work part-time (which has already been quite a workout after years of unemployment), and I write and draw when I can, on free time.
As I needed a mental break from comics, I haven't touched my series since the hiatus. Zikul and I wrote a Star Trek fanfic together (339.500 words, over a few months, nobody's gonna read that but whatever), and I've spent part of the last 10 months or so writing a Star Trek language book, which I hope could get published.
Art-wise, I've explored new things and made some progress, which is always good.
I don't know yet when I'll have the time and energy to return to SH and CD, but I think about them. I plan on getting back to SH through on-going revamping of pages (and potential little changes in the narration).
For CD, the workload is massive, and as such I'm considering switching to text format and making comic versions of the smut scenes only (because that's what was going to be interesting to draw :u)
Aw, omg, look at that awesome picture that Shiori made for me! (if you wonder why the skulls, well, I got a treasure hunt and so happened to find my first animal skull during it, it was very cool -- also found a piece of leg but it wasn't completely clean yet; Sweden is awesome)
Shiori is the author of several series with lots of animals in them, and also a short novel^^

I was going to start working on SH page today but we heard cats were fighting. I thought I could let Plingums in but found out the cats weren't so close from the house, just very loud and quite serious. I could separate them but shouldn't have tried to catch Plingums without the proper apparel. My bad, forgot I had no sleeves because it's summer now.
Additionally, I can already tell that due to all the drama that's been going on with Tapas, I need time to think about the future of my series, and my own future too as a person.
Throw water on them. they hate it and will run for cover both of them! its the only way sometimes.
Also yeah I think a lot of people are rethinking their relationship with tapas, myself included
Thank you all for the kind words! ^ u ^ I put the kind of antiseptic stuff they use in hospital on the scratches, so hopefully that should do good. It's not swelling or doing anything weird so far.
I'm not yet sure of what to do with my series. I'd rather not delete them from Tapastic (and lose all those lovely comments ; n ;) but we've come to the conclusion that I need a break. A real break, not some hiatus during which I keep on working even if people don't see it. I'm still in the process of migrating administratively, I need a job to ensure my stay, and all this is very stressful.
I still would like to reach the end of the buffer I have here, though.
When I formatted my pc, I forgot to save the custom brush I had made for CD, so I had to recreate one that is about similar. Because it wasn't exactly the same, I needed to practice, and I figured I might as well practice something I hadn't had the chance to do in a long time -- more "realistic" painting (well, it's still semi-realistic really).
I did so, using Star Trek DS9 original characters (mine and Zikul's). I thought I'd share my progress.
@Alief: Some of them do! The two last ones on the bookcover, Melekor and Timun, were first somewhat acquainted with Quark (he's the bartender...). Melekor got quite acquainted with Garak as they helped each other (Melekor procured treptacederine to Garak in exchange for help in uncovering his father's identity), while Timun got more acquainted with Odo (due to ending up in detention repeatedly but walking out free of charges to Odo's dismay) and Bashir (due to both of them being doctors with insufferably uncooperative Cardassian patients).
The woman on the two panels above (Liyara Rokat), and her son in the portrait yet above (Glain Rokat) both knew Garak, albeit under another identity. Glain is Melekor's step-brother, and the reason why their father had to deal with Gul Dukat twice already, which the old man really could have done without.

Ok, so just so you know...
I somehow ended up with a bug that caused Photoshop to crash whenever opening a file with text in it, or trying to use the text tool, and I couldn't fix the bug.
Because I also had other pretty bad issues, I decided to reinstall the entire OS to make it all nice and clean. Not only did it take forever and many attempts, but for now I still haven't gotten my tablet to work again. Hopefully, I will, with but tomorrow's update, we're reaching the end of the buffer I had for SH, so let's hope I can get this computer fixed and running in time to finish the next page for next week... :/
Also, I'm going to start posting for Consuming Darkness as soon as I get the PC running smoothly again.
it isn't as bad with me .. i just have to remember to save before i open the text tool .. it'll crash 2 times then it works well the whole day lol. . i got used to the pattern
