Hey folks, I don't know if anyone still remembers me but I wanted to share an update. I know it's been a crazy long time since I was active here, and a crazy long time since I updated Dear Azzy Dear Michael. Full disclosure, in late 2017 I went through a trauma involving a very graphic death; I've never discussed it here, but long story short it almost completely destroyed my desire to work on comics. It's taken me this long to even consider coming back to work on AzzyMichael, and if I did, it would be very different from the series I started all those years ago. I have been working on something new, however, with a similar flavour. I guess I'm here to put out feelers and ask: anyone want to see content from me?
i would love to, but you come first. Don't feel pressured to do anything bc of us, but if you want to do it, go ahead, we'll all be happy to see it! Im so sorry to hear what happened, i hope it all gets better soon
Addding to the others, take your time to recover and use art as a way to heal, if possible, and don't feel pressured, just let it flow! I would love to read and admire the beautiful art you make.
I am so incredibly sorry that you went through something traumatic like that. I hope the time has brought you some peace. I would love to see more content from you if you think it would make you happy!
Hey guys! I'd like to put out some feelers here and see if starting up a Patreon for Azzy/Michael is something you guys would be open to; there is no way I would ever paywall you guys, my comic will ALWAYS be free to read!
Sadly, I don't get the time I would like to have to work on this comic/upload more frequently. I actually have the comic planned out roughly a hundred pages in advance and as you can see we're only about 25 pages in, which makes me feel dreadfully unproductive.
I'd treat patreon as a virtual tip jar more than anything, and would aim to have rewards include things like page layout sketches, outtakes from the comic that didn't make it to the final episodes, early access to new pages, requests, artworks and even physical rewards (such as stickers like the ones below, and miniprints etc). Perhaps even access to future comics that I have planned. Let me know what you think! Thank you all so much for reading!
Definitely do it- I'm not actually legally allowed to deal with money transactions yet (I'm 17) with Paypal, so I won't tip you until my birthday, but go for it! It'll be great in the long run, because the more followers you get, the more likely that they'll be able to pay it forward.
Sweetheart, it's true that many of us are unable to provide the financial support that you and other great artist deserve so we appreciate the fact that you decided to share your art with us for free... But keep in mind there's nothing wrong with asking. I truly believe that it would make you some great good to watch Amanda Palmer's TED TALK in "The art of asking" https://www.ted.com/talks/amanda_palmer_the_art_of_asking
Hey guys, things just got a very dire very fast for me financially, please consider looking at commissions. If you're interested in helping me out at all, I would super appreciate it! Message me here, or send me an email at jenniebreadart@gmail.com
Hi folks, sorry about the delay on the sticker giveaway/next page update! My life's been a bit hectic in the wake of Cyclone Debbie (passed over my region of Queensland) and I haven't had a whole lot of time to devote to Azzy n Michael! Hoping to have the next pages up in the next few days and I will announce the sticker winners then! <3 Thanks guys!!!
I'm presently facing some dire financial/employment issues, so AzzyMichael updates might be a little sporadic for the foreseeable future. If any lovely person wishes to help me out (and thereby speed up my capability to update the comic), I am open for some cheap ($5+) sketch commissions - more info over on my tumblr. Blessings to all, and thank you for reading!
