It's funny how I said I was gonna reboot a comic and then over a year later I've done almost nothing of the sort.
Covid has been a mess and boy has my motivation to do anything besides sleep and stare blankly at my screen been suffering. I recently got a new job though! Motivation is up, and I already have other new projects I'm working on besides wanting to still do that reboot. I've seen a lot of my favorite creators leave Tapas, either stopping whatever they were working on or moving it to another platform, and it's made me a bit sad. Life happens, I guess, and behind the great stories we read the creators are still normal people with their own lives.
That said, it's made me feel bad about the time I took away from comics. I'm still drawing, but not as much as I used to, and I've certainly been keeping all of you in the dark about it unless you follow me on other platforms. I want to post regularly again, and share stories and funnies with you again. I'm collaborating with my partner on a graphic novel that may or may not get posted here, and I'm working on more cohesive story development for my continued and rebooted stories.
Thanks for your patience! I look forward to sharing my stories again!
Hey guys! It's been a minute. I have an idea for getting back into updating my comics again, but I wanted to know what you think first.
I don't know how long it'll take me to get back into 12, but I'm thinking that to work on Symphony Knights again I need to start over. Clean slate, more consistent shading and character designs, and a more drawn out (no pun intended) story. Restarting it will give me a chance to rework the story from the beginning, add more intrigue and make the story not move too quickly.
I'd put it in a new comic slot, so that new and old readers can get a fresh start without digging through the old comic first.
What do you think?
Some updates!
I graduated from university a few weeks ago, so I'm officially done with school for good (gotta get a job now though).
I just got back from an almost 2-week trip to Europe, so I'm tired, sunburned, and got a pile of junk to deal with.
Soon, though, I will be posting new pages, and will also show you guys all my art and junk that I did for my film.
For now, thank you guys again for your patience and support!
I know I haven't been posting. School and life are killing me. Thank you all for being so patient and supportive, and I hope to share all the cool stuff I worked on this past year once I've finished this g-damn film and graduated.
Honestly good or bad, I'd be totally psyched to get fanart. We could do a contest, but I'll probably make everyone the winner because I'm indecisive and I love getting art.
It's a history of jazz lecture class, not performance jazz, lol. I can't play jazz for shit. Glad you like how I drew her, even though this was a mid-studying frustration sketch, lol.
