hhhhhh boy. update I guess. I'm still working on the book, but there's been a bunch of stretches where it just doesn't feel like I'll ever get it done annnd, existential crisis happens. slowly, surely, someday, I will be done. good god y'all, it's so much more work than I anticipated.
Chapter two is done! fin. finally. phew. as i said before, this means it's time to for me to hunker down and get chapter one presentable for printing, so, no chapter three for a little while. sorry! but all good things to those who are...forgiving of an author who takes so dang long.
in the meantime, Q&A??? it's about time to do another one, me thinks, with chapter two all wrapped up. so. hit me!! gimme all your burning questions, for me, for the characters, for my dog max, whatever you fancy. i'll get to as many as I can.
other than that, check out alec in doodleland for extras, sketches, character art, etc. i'll be attempting to update that a bit more regularly.
(and don't think i forgot about those hidden mickeys. start your countin up, chapter two mickey roundup contest details will be announced shortly).
What do you define as a mickey? I know some people have counted things like three scircles vaguely close to eachother as a mickey sometimes so what do you define a mickey to be?
well, if you go back through the first chapter, you'll see my pretty abundant and pretty easy to spot mickeys. theres not as many in chapter two. but they will be the same basic shape.
so, quick update. it's taking a while to get work done owing to my tablet being on the fritz, and repairing a wacom is. an arduous experience. hopefully the last part of chapter 2 will be up on the 21st this month, but at this point I'm not optimistic. :(
yeah, buy a wacom, i thought. it's a great device, it thought. it's totally worth 300 dollars. it's totally worth the drivers that spontaneously uninstall, the hotkeys i never use, the fragile af usb port...
yeah, pretty much the reason i don't use my wacom tablet for anything other then Osu is cause' the drivers make it stop working but hey, at least my one was free
I sold mine and bought a touch screen laptop with pressure sensitive pen. Not saying to do that but it is a possibility for the future. Photoshop (what i used) worked great until a windows update screwed it over, but the windows product (big surprise) Autodesk Sketchbook works. I am waiting to go back to photoshop for now. It is a possibility for the future one might consider.
you know i just might be considering that. or going back to a tooya or a genius because i've had better use out of a damn 50 dollar tablet than the godforsaken thing i have now
I exchange mine for that purpose. I was having troubles with the UI. Hope you found what works for you! I hope you are in good health and are enjoying what you do. Take care!
so i miiiiiiight be working on a little something. namely, prepping chapter one for printing. :D
it is a long ass way off, but it's happening. more details to come, but it will mean for the current comic a hiatus. after chapter two wraps up here in the next couple updates i will be putting my heart and soul into revamping chapter one, almost in its entirety. the first half of the pages weren't saved in high enough quality to print, and it's a good a time as any to give the whole thing a fresh coat a paint.
i've decided not to re-upload the comic pages here, they will only be available in the printing. which will, if all goes according to plan, be available come june. hopefully in time for the comic's third birthday, universe be willing.
so, stay tuned for the end of chapter two, and much more to come! and as always, thank you guys so much for your support <3
progress as of tonight. 11 pages coming next update. highlighted is finished. im tired. but i feel like i should update on the process more so y'all know i'm not doing nothing between updates o3o
