Like many people who spent their childhood in Appalachia, I grew up hearing about how some of my ancestors were Native American. But our parents and grandparents couldn't tell us about their lives, or what their culture was like, because my white ancestors had stamped that culture out through revision, intimidation and shame. And in destroying that Native American history, they destroyed their own descendants' history. My history. All of our history.
But what if they hadn't? What if all our ancestors' cultures had come through with equal respect, and in equal amounts? What might our society look like today?
My fantasy series, Unveiled, is in part an exploration of those questions.
On MONDAY the last episode of Unveiled will be released... AND the first episode of the sequel, Greenwood, will also go up! Riley Thornton's adventures continue as she finds out more about her powers, meets another clan, works undercover to find a deadly mole, faces off once more against Tsali, and begins a physical relationship... but with whom?
In addition, Reed falls in love, Alley causes chaos, friendships are fractured and mended, and two of the young warriors get married!
With all the world building out of the way (you guys feel me, I know) I'm able to put a lot more action into Book Two! ♡☆
That is because you are awesome! ♡ I have some bingeing of my own to do soon on your Hammers and Anvils series... any more Iola coming soon? (hint hint)
SO excited! I just uploaded the very last chapter of Unveiled! Only three more to go. On Monday, when the last chapter rolls out, the first chapter of Book 2 will also go up. ♡
To my subscribers: a few days ago, several of my scheduled but unpublished episodes became visible in the iOS and Android apps. My husband and magic octopus both gave me a heads up (thank you again MA!). I emailed Tapas about it, and they told me it's a bug in Tapas that's doing this, and not just me screwing up. They're working on it. In the meantime... read ahead at your own risk. 🎢🍷
