Hello, folks. So I've started to colour in my comic strips (in a manner of speaking). But it's a slow process and will take some time to finish. Meanwhile, you'll just have to...bear with this writer :D
I've begun uploading them already. The colours aren't as beautiful or as professional looking as those in your series...just little colour highlights over grey tones :)
Oh, stop it! We don't have any professionalism, we're just two high school students, actually, Germana is a high school student, I graduated last year, since, I've been feeling lost, trying to do something that I like. Working on a comic is so scary, I never know if what I'm doing is good, or, I don't know, enough? But thanks for your support, really! It's so nice to have a reader from the other side of the globe!
See, the thing about doing something that you love, that you're really passionate about is that you always keep learning and experimenting (it's the old woman in me doling out unasked-for advice, sorry about that :P). There always seems to be space to improve. Do more. Be more.
Despite being part of the "industry" for more than a decade now, I'm still plagued by thoughts like 'maybe I'm not good enough' or 'everyone will realize I'm a charlatan'. But I've come to believe that this is part of being a creative individual.
Maybe we're just born insecure and we need to accept it as a permanent flaw :D We just...do the best we can. Let the world make of our creations what it will.
And I want to say 'thank you' to you as well. I'm a writer who's trying to draw her own comics for the first time ever. Your support means a lot to me too :)
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my comics. I'm a writer who's trying her hand at graphic art for the first time. I have a long, long...long-ooong way to go before my lines become less squiggly and more...er, what's the opposite of squiggly? Shipshape? Respectable? Tame? Never mind. All I want to say is your support means a lot. And it'll help me go that long, long...long-ooong way. Peace! :D
