"Hello, I'm Daikaku Miyagi," the reporter introduced himself to the audience. "I'm here with Nemuri Kayama. She's our guest for today. Would you care to introduce yourself?" Midnight pushes back a strand of her black, midnight hair, "Hello, everyone!" She had a bright smile on her face as the audience was wondering why she was wearing something slightly inappropriate. "We're here to celebrate the second anniversary since the destruction of All for One. It's been two years since the event occurred that left people in the surrounding areas injured and homeless," Midnight stated. Miyagi placed his hand on his chin, "That brings our next subject, which left people wondering. The organization known as the Anarchy disappeared two years after the accident. Makes you think if All for One and the Anarchy were connected."
Midnight giggles, "That's not bad. It's a good question that raises suspicions. However, the chief of the police force informed the public that the Anarchy had no part in the attack. We are lucky that our police force was able to take down the league." Miyagi sighs and leans back into his chair. "Ah, yes. However, don't you wonder where the members of the Anarchy are?" Midnight shrugs her shoulders. "It does make people paranoid to know. They could be hiding in plain sight, and we'll never know." Miyagi chuckles at Midnight's comment. "Let's move onto our next subject," Miyagi says. Midnight pulls out her papers and looks at the next topic. "Our next topic is that our formal police chief, Yagi Toshinori, is retiring!"
The audience gasps at the news as Midnight frowns. "For two twenty years, Chief Toshinori has protected Musutafu." Midnight smiles up at the camera. Miyagi smiles softly, "It's unfortunate." Midnight shuffles her papers and sees that their time was up. "I'm afraid that our time is up," Miyagi announces. Midnight pushes a strand of her hair back as she should've tied her hair up instead of leaving it down. "Well, until next time, everyone!" Miyagi chuckles at Midnight's excitement. He waves at the tv as the next programs begin to play.
Todoroki walks into the living room and turns the tv off. He wondered why he left that thing playing. He adjusts his tie as today was a special day. Shouto was excited about tonight. He didn't mind that the reporters were talking about the Anarchy. It was two years ago since the accident. Shouto didn't appreciate the reminder of what he lost. He shook his head, 'No, you shouldn't think about it.' It was over. He put a smile back on his face as he shouldn't let it get him down. He had better things to look forward. He heard a knock on the door and went to open it.
"Inasa!" Todoroki hugged his friend as Inasa returned the hug. "Hey, Sho," Inasa greeted him with a smile. "Come inside," Todoroki stepped aside to let the giant inside. Yoarashi smiled at the boy as Shouto seems to be glowing with excitement. "Yaoyorozu is going to be here soon," Inasa added as Shouto nodded his head. "You do know that your date is in four hours," Inasa stated. Shouto rolled his eyes playfully. "Shush!" Inasa chuckles at his friend and takes a seat as Shouto peeps on him. "You seem to be excited," Inasa noted. Shouto smiles, "Of course, I am! I mean, it's been two years." Inasa could tell that Shouto wasn't lying. "You don't think about it?" Shouto hums at the question, "What do you mean?"
Inasa sighs as Shouto hands him a cup of tea. The red and white-haired boy sat in front of him. Inasa glances down at his glass, "The accident. Don't you think about it? The news is still covering the fact that you guys have disappeared for two years." Shouto grabs Inasa's hand as the male looks up. Shouto shakes his head, "No, I don't." Shouto bit the bottom of his lip. "I shouldn't worry about it anymore. I can't change-" Shouto tried not to think about the accident. Inasa could see the tears in Shouto's eyes, "Hey! Don't cry! I'm sorry that I brought it up." Inasa didn't enjoy making Shouto feel bad.
"Isn't today a special day for you? You shouldn't be sad," Inasa reassures him. Shouto nods his head softly, "Sorry, I didn't mean to cry. It's just I hate the reminder of that day." Shouto heard a knock on the door as Yaoyorozu enters the apartment. "Hey, Shouto!" She hugged her friend as Shouto returns the hug. "Hey, Yaomomo," the two greeted the girl in unison. "Where's Jirou?" Yaoyorozu sighs at Todoroki's question. "She's working overtime. She's been busy lately since Toshinori's retirement." Todoroki wished he could understand, but they worked in separate lines of work. "Either way, how are you, Shouto?" Yaoyorozu could see the smile on Todoroki's face. "I'm doing well." Inasa chuckles, "He's excited about tonight." Yaoyorozu giggles at Inasa as Shouto blushes softly. "Oh, right! It's been two years since you and a special someone got together!" Todoroki groaned and covered his face as his blush grows. He wasn't used to his best friends teasing him.
"Aw, Shouto, you look so cute," Yaoyorozu teased. Shouto rolls his eyes as he tried to control his blush. Yaoyorozu glances at her phone and notices the time. "I have to get going! Sorry, Shouto." Todoroki tilts his head, "That soon?" Yaoyorozu smiles nervously, "Yeah, I do wish that I could've stayed longer, but I have to do something important." Yaoyorozu hugs her friend and nods her head at Inasa. Inasa nods his back as he understood her plan. Shouto was oblivious to their plan. Shouto watches Yaoyorozu leave and turns to Inasa, "She seems suspicious." Inasa rubs the back of his neck, "Well, she is a crime analyst, so she might have some work to do." Shouto wonders if Inasa is lying to him or not. He decided not to worry about it.
"I should let you get back to getting ready for your date," Inasa said. Shouto nods his head, "Thank you, Inasa, for coming." Shouto smiled at his friend as Inasa returned the smile. Shouto hugged his friend before he could leave. Inasa wrapped his arms around the boy. Shouto was lucky that Inasa was his friend again. After the accident, he and Inasa made up. It took some time for Yaoyorozu to get used to Inasa being around Shouto. Inasa pulled away, "I'll see you tomorrow at the office." Todoroki nods his head, "Can you make sure that Touya isn't playing around." Inasa chuckles, "You know that's impossible. Your brother is always playing around with Keigo." Shouto shakes his head. "Why did I let him work at the company?" Inasa laughs at his friend. "He's your brother, remember?"
"Is it too late to ask for a different brother?" Inasa chuckles while Todoroki was confused. Inasa stopped and placed his hand on Todoroki's shoulder, "Hey, Sho, can I ask you something before I leave?" Todoroki looked at him, confused but nodded his head. Inasa took a deep breath before asking his question. He needed to know what Shouto thinks. "Shouto, what do you think about marriage?" Shouto didn't know how to respond. He didn't suspect that Inasa would ask him this type of question. "I don't know." Shouto didn't know what other response he could've said. "You don't know?" Shouto nods his head, "I've never thought about it. All I can think about is my parents' arranged marriage. The pain that it brought to my mom."
Inasa shook his head. "I don't mean arranged marriages." Shouto tilts his head, "I don't understand." Inasa sighs softly, "I mean ones that are happy and loving. I want to know what you think about the topic." Shouto wondered why Inasa was asking him about this. "I love the idea of being with someone that I loved. I don't think about it often, but it's an amazing idea." Shouto smiles, "However, the idea seems to be a fantasy to me." Inasa looked at the boy, confused, "Why do you think that?" Shouto glances down, "My parents are a perfect example." Inasa should've known that this would've been Todoroki's response. "I do wish that I get married to someone that I love and would accept me. Plus, I already have someone that makes me feel like I'm flying." Shouto smiles at the thought of his partner. He treated him like a prince.
Inasa nods his head and rubs the back of his neck nervously. "I should get going. I'll see you later," Inasa hugged his friend before leaving. Shouto watched his friend leave as he wonders why Inasa was questioning him about marriage. He sighed to himself. He had never thought about marriage. He never had a perfect example of what a happy marriage was. He wondered if he would have the opportunity to experience something similar. His heart swelled at the idea as he blushes. Love made Shouto feel so many things. It was like he was stepping onto new territory.
Shouto's thoughts were interrupted as his phone was ringing. He recognized the caller ID and answered it. "Hey, Todoroki!" Shouto smiled at the red-haired boy on the other side. "Hello, Kirishima." Todoroki could see the red-haired boy in what seems to be a tropical area. "Are you guys still traveling?" Kirishima chuckles, "No, Bakugou's pissed that the cruise stopped at some tropical resort." Todoroki smiles, "That sounds like Bakugou." Kirishima turns to see Bakugou running around on the sand, "Yeah, also he sorta forgot sunscreen." Todoroki laughs at the idea of Bakugou getting sunburned. "If he gets sunburn, kick him for me," Todoroki requested.
"Sure, after he stops attacking the seagulls." Kirishima notices the outfit that Todoroki is wearing. "Going somewhere?" Todoroki smiles, "Yes, he asked me to meet him at a restaurant tonight." Kirishima smiles as Todoroki sees seagulls flying after the blond. "You seem so happy," Kirishima noted. "Ah, yes, Yaomomo and Inasa pointed it out." Kirishima nods his head. "It's nice to see a smile since today is the-" Kirishima's voice trailed off at his sentence. It was enough for Shouto to catch on. "Two years after the accident." Kirishima bites on his bottom lip, "I know you probably have heard it countless times today, but I'm sorry." Todoroki shakes his head, "You don't have to apologize. There was nothing that you could've done. Either way, I'm okay."
Kirishima smiles, "Yeah, it does seem like you're okay. After everything that happened, I thought you wouldn't be okay. However, I was wrong." Todoroki nods his head. He could Bakugou yell in the background. "I think he's calling you," Todoroki noted. Kirishima turns around to see Bakugou getting chased by seagulls. "Yeah, I have to get going. Have fun on your date!" Kirishima hangs up the phone and runs after Bakugou.
Todoroki decides that he should probably make sure he has everything before his date. He didn't expect to lose track of time when he was getting ready. He glanced at the time on his phone and realized that he was late. He grabbed his phone and left his apartment in a hurry. He always reminds himself to bring his phone with him. He learned his lesson after losing his phone countless times. He wondered what his lover could be playing. He stood in front of the restaurant and realized that it was one of those expensive ones. He wonders how his partner was able to get a reservation here. He shook his head and walked inside the restaurant. He hoped that he didn't keep him waiting for too long. He should've been here early, but he lost track of time.
Todoroki took a deep breath and walked inside. He noticed the familiar figure sitting at a table waiting. He walks forward and stops in front of the table with a smile on his face. He hopes that he would understand his embarrassing reason for being late. "Sorry, I'm late," he apologized. Shouto is greeted with a smile on the other's face. "It's okay. Everyone loses track of time sometimes." Todoroki feels his panic slowly die as he smiles. Shouto's eyes are filled with adoration as he sees the person he loves and the most.
"Hello, Midoriya."
