Ark awakes in his bed. His 16th birthday is tomorrow but first, he had to survive another day of high school. As Ark got up, his dog barreled into him and knocked him right back onto his bed. He hit his head on the frame and cursed loudly.

“Ark I swear to god! If you don’t stop swearing in this household you’re gonna be sleeping outside tonight!” Lilianna shouted upstairs.

“Ugh, Molly! Get off me!” Ark grunted, pushing the big German Shepard off himself. Molly happily complied and ran out into the hall and down the stairs. Ark got up once again rubbing the spot where he hit his head. Ark got dressed for school and went to his brother’s room.

“Yo Kade, wake up!” Ark shouted into the dark room. “I swear,” Ark said under his breath while walking into the room. Ark’s eyes adjusted to the darkness immediately.

“Hyah!” Kade lept from the darkness smashing into Ark, both of them flying out of the room. “Yes! It finally worked!” Kade cheered on the ground. Ark right beneath him.

“Yeah yeah. You win this time bro.” Ark shoved kade. “Come on It’s time for school ” Ark shouted as he ran down the stairs. Kade raced after him. Ark and kade grabbed their bags after breakfast and ran out the door to walk to school. On their way to school, Jade ran up behind them and tackled Ark.

“Hey, Ark how ya been? You never called me.” Jade pouted still on top of Ark. her tail perking up and her cat ears twitched with excitement.

“Ummm Jade I’m pretty sure he can’t breathe much less respond with those covering his face.” Kade pointed at Jade’s chest. Jade looked down and saw she was suffocating Ark.

“Omg, I’m so sorry Ark!” Jade apologized her face bright red as Ark got up.

“It’s okay just please don’t do that again.” Ark pleaded, turning around continuing the path to his school, Kade and Jade rushed to catch up.

~meanwhile during this mayhem~

Lily strode around the Campus of the Clouds, looking around for somebody to harass. Her eyes landed on Arnia, her best friend, so she hustled over to her and tackled her. Arnia let out a cry of shock.

“OI! WHO THE FU- Oh, hey LK!”

“Hey, Arn, what's happening?” Lily asked, still sitting on her.

“First of all, get off of me, you’re crushing my ribs and two, I've found some interesting information you may want to hear.”

“Hit me up,” Lily said, getting off of Arnia and, helping her stand up, noticed the smirk of confidence plastered on her face. “Ooh, looks like we’ve hit some type of gold mine?”

“So to speak… You know that kitsune you’ve been hunting for, what, nine months? Turns out somebody has spotted a guy who looks exactly like him at a local high school.”

“Oooh! I like the sound of that! Send me the coordinates please.”

“Will do!” And with that, both set off to their homes.

A silvery-white kitsune dashed through the forest. A group of hunters, who were on break at the time, heard a branch snap and leaves rustle.

“Hey, didja hear that Francis?”

“I sure did Maron.” The one called Francis said with a smirk. Both knocked an arrow in their bows as they stood up to investigate the source of the noise. The kitsune had heard their entire conversation, so she ran faster, her footsteps falling faster and louder. She turned around to see if they were still following her, when two arrows whistled towards her at blinding speed, embedding their obsidian tips into her eye sockets. She let out a scream of pain as she crumpled to the forest floor.

“RIN! WE HAVE YOU IN OUR SIGHTS! DON'T MOVE, LEST YOU SUFFER OUR WRATH!” Maron shouted, taking his time getting to her. Rin wouldn't have it. She snapped the shafts of the arrows and forged on, using her kitsune senses to make her way out of the woods and into the city.

“Damn it! We were so close. Curse her damned kitsune senses. If captain asks, just say those arrows killed her, we all know they will. Let's just go back Maron, we don't know what's out here.” Rin had found her way to a kitsune refugee camp. The medics tended to her wounds and wrapped bandages over her eyes.

“Get me some violet dye, please. I must change up my looks. From now on you must call me Violet. “Rin” is dead, or at least that's what the guards believe.”

~Timeskip to the same date 3022~

Violet was surrounded by her naiad attendees. She turned on the news to listen to what there was. The youngest one, Nova, rushed up to her, the sound of her voice overjoyed.

“Ms. Violet! Ms. Violet!”

“Yes, Nova?”

“I carry the most wonderful news! We have found the location your twin brother, Ark!”

“Well, then is truly wonderful news! We must find him, and warn him immediately!”

~at Ark’s school~

Ark, Jade, and Kade walked towards the high school when Ark felt a chill down the back of his neck and stopped. He turned around and looked into the woods behind them.

“What is it, Ark?” Jade asked looking where he was staring at.

“ Nothing I thought I saw something. “ Ark’s 3 white tails disappear into the shadows. He smirked and his white ears twitched with laughter. “ Even

after all these years you never left, huh?” Ark whispered.

“Who’s never left?” Kade asked his half-demon tail flicking around.

“No one, now come one we’re gonna be late!” Ark shouted picking up the pace. Ten minutes later Ark, Jade, and Kade made it to school. “See you guys later!” Ark shouted, and ran to class. When Ark walked into class he went to his seat in the back and waited for Mr.Kirsomi. (Heiro in this universe Heiro doubles as a teacher and does theater too also he is Jade’s father)

Heiro walked in but with a guy who looked around the age of Ark, who introduced himself as Gill, and when Mr. Kirsomi told him to sit anywhere he chose to sit by Ark. Ark extremely surprised decided to ask him why. (even though a lot of demons are accepted into modern society, the kitsune species is still seen as killers because of their habit to kill wanderers and to trick people/make them go insane. So nobody ever sits by Ark.)

“Soo, uh, why did you choose to sit by me?” Ark asked Gill very confused.

“Because I know you wouldn’t hurt me, Ark, at least not without a reason. ” Gill responded to Ark’s question with an earnest smile. ok then… wait how did he know my name no one ever told him. Ark thought, getting and more confused as he did. He instead decided to just focus on the lesson. After a few hours of classes, the bell rang to release them to lunch Ark walked to the lunch room everyone making a full circle around him to avoid him. He sighed.

“No different than every year,” Ark muttered, his ears and tails drooping. Although Ark had been in this school district for his entire life no one ever trusted him and even if people bullied him he couldn’t retaliate cause then they would have justification to attack him again. He walked to his table where a lot of the demons sat but where ever he sat people moved away for the few who were either blind, didn’t care, or actually liked him. He started to eat the school’s lunch and before he could even take a bite he heard a feminine voice call his name.

Violet ducked her way over to Ark with the help of Nova and Sindy May.

“Ark! Is-Is it r-really you?” Ark looked up at the girl.

“Yeah… have we met before?” Ark asked the girl then noticing the bandages on her eyes but kept quiet about it.

“Oh, forgive me for being in such a rush… My name is Violet Kirigomi. I am your long lost twin sister!”
