Y/N'S POV
Water...
That was the only thing I hated.
Every time they went on field trips that involved beaches, lakes and other things...I'd stay behind.
Why? Well...let's find out.
No one's POV
~FLASHBACK~
As the girl with h/c hair and white dress ran out the car, she breathed in the ocean air and sighed. "I can't wait to get into the water!" She squealed. Her parents chuckled and followed behind with their belonging. "Now sweetheart, when you get on this boat, we want you to be safe ok?" Her mom replied with a smile. "We wouldn't want you having a bad birthday." Her dad replied after with a chuckle. The small girl nodded happily and ran onto the sandy beach. "Yay, the beach!" She giggled. Her mom ran with her into the water while her dad got everything set up. Once he finished, he followed the rest of his family, who were in the water. After a while of waiting for the water boat to appear it finally came. The young girl smiled happily and jumped aboard, running to the captain. "Ahoy, sir!!" She squealed. The man looked at her with a smiled and placed the small child on his lap with a chuckle. "Why hello there little lass, ready to go find ye treasure?" The male replied in a pirate voice. She squealed and clapped her hands. "Yes!" He chuckled and started to drive off with the boat. As the boat went on, the little jumped off the male's lap and looked over the poles to see dolphins, fish and from afar, a blue whale. She was amazed and leaned down to touch on of the dolphins until on jumped up in the air splashing her. She giggled and waved bye to them before running back to the captain and sat back on his lap. After two hours of the boat ride, they started to head back. On the way, they felt the boat bump. "What was that?" The girl asked and looked up at her captain. "I think we just bumped into some rocks." But what he didn't know, was that they weren't rocks. Getting worried, the little girl jumped off the captain's lap and ran to the poles and ran around the boat and came to a stop. Her skin turned pale and felt tears in her eyes. "C-Captain?" She whimpered. "What's wrong sweetie?" She cried and ran towards him hugging him tightly. "T-There's a monster under the boat!!" He pulled her back onto his lap and panicked. "Hold the wheel. Do not turn it." She nodded and grabbed the wheel as he placed her down in his spot. He ran out and stopped at the place the little girl was at. His whole body turned pale and slowly stepped back. A giant shark-like figure right under them. He ran towards the girl and looked ahead. Almost to land. He smiled and relief and picked the girl up. "Ok sweetie, I know you're scared but you gotta stay with ME!!" He yelled out once he felt the boat tilt over. The girl screamed as she held onto the captain. On the beach, the lifeguard had used his binoculars to look afar and saw what had happened. "A sunken boat. Grab the lifeboat! The captain and little girl are on that boat!" He yelled. The girl's parents looked up in shock and saw what happened. "MY BABY!!" Her mom cried. Back in the water, the little girl was holding onto the captain as he swam to shore. "Are you ok sweetie?" The little girl nodded and nuzzled his neck. After an hour of swimming, the lifeboat showed up just in time. "Captain, hurry up before it appears again!" The lifeguard yelled and reached for him. Once the male reached for the hand, the little girl climbed up about to reach for the guard's hand until she slipped off the male's shoulders and fell into the water. "Y/N!!" He yelled and dived after the girl. She struggled to swim up, flapping her arms. But soon she had stopped. What she saw from afar, was that same shark-like figure from before. Her whole body went numb and she slowly closed her eyes letting the darkness consume her.

"Y/N, Y/N WAKE UP!" A voice cried. The girl opened her eyes and looked up. The captain along with the lifeguards were in front of her. The male smiled in tears and pulled her close. "your ok?" The girl smiled weakly before looking down and started to cry. The captain smiled and kissed her forehead. "don't worry child, i'll keep you save..." He cooed. Once they got to shore, her parents came running towards her and the captain. "My baby!" She cried and hugged her child along with the father. They looked at the captain and smiled muttering a thank you. The male smiled before walking towards the ambulance.

At the hospital, the captain was getting ready to leave. Once he turned around, he noticed the little girl holding his hat. The male chuckled and took his hat placing it on her head. She giggled softly and looked at him. "Captain, can I stay with you?" The male tilted his head and smiled. "Only for today ok?" Her smile almost faded until the child's mom appeared. "As a matter of fact, me and my husband are going are going on a trip and would love for you to watch our baby girl." He smiled and pulled the small child close to him. "I will." "on one condition." The girl replied. They both looked at her curiously. "I--I don't wanna go back in the water..." She whimpered. They both looked at each other and nodded. "Okay, then baby girl. No water." She smiled. The little girl smiled and hugged her mom. "thank you."

The next day, the little girl stood on the side of the male as she watched her parents pack up. She walked towards them as she tried holding her tears in. They both turned to see her and gave her a long hug. "We'll come back to see you one day, okay?" Her mom choked out in tears. The girl nodded and started to cry. "Last call to go back to h/t!!" The pilot called. They both said their goodbyes and kissed their child one more time before leaving. She watched as her parents boarded the plane wiping the tears that were still trailing down her cheeks. The captain lifted her up and rubbed her back. "Its ok child...I'll keep you safe..." He cooed. "o-ok..." She choked out as he walked back home with her in his arms.
Y/N's POV
So after that day of me seeing that thing in the water and almost drowning, I refused to ever go back in the deep water or ever go on a boat. But...besides that shark, I remember...that when I opened my eyes to see the captain and lifeguards, I saw a blond boy next to them with a grin. He mouthed something that I couldn't understand. But one day, I'll find out who he is and why he was there...
