(lgbtq+ fantasy) As a Delfines battle mage, Aurem is used to fighting on the field against the enemies of Delfin. His country is currently embroiled in a war with the Undari people- a mountainous tribe with large wolves battling by their side. Mages are called to fight from the tower at any moment, pulled from relative safety to the battlefield. Aurem has fought and won many battles, earning him a reputation of being one of Deflin’s finest mages, something that has no made him many friends among his own people.
The Battalion that Aurem is currently assigned to has delved deep within the Undari lands, hoping to attack a stronghold, and bring home a great victory for Delfin. On the eve of battle, a blizzard takes the army by surprise, and with it, the Undari forces attack and decimate their army with the powerful, giant wolves and inhumanly strong warriors.
Defeated and weakened, Aurem is captured by the enemy army, his magic sealed by a special collar. He finds himself captive of a fearsome warrior, Turuk, and his silver wolf Siira. Trapped, with no way of escape, Aurem is forced deeper into Undari territory, and is faced with the surprising fact that the Undari are not the monsters that they have been told. After witnessing the birth of a litter of puppies, and forming a bond with one, Aurem finds himself questioning the motives of Turuk, and draws closer to the warrior, despite his initial misgivings.
Faced with an unknown world, Aurem finds himself pulled into a battle for change; gods, man, and an evil force lurking in the darkness. Events bring Aurem closer to Turuk, and he becomes deeply involved in the fate of the Undari people, drawn forward by the gods, and fate.
