Hey, sorry for going AWOL yesterday and missing a page! I'm also going to be missing a page today - nothing to worry about, I've just been feeling a bit burnt out and needed a break while I work out some kinks with this section of the chapter! Planning to have everything sorted out by monday - I will let you all know if anything pops up before then.
I don't really know, I've only really used Wacom and Monoprice tablets. I imagine a Huion would work just about as well. Honestly, the main reason I got an Intuos was their textured drawing surface and the size of the working area, and those choices were just kind of based on my own preferences and set up. I don't know a lot about alternate tablets but I'm sure there must be some good reviewers out there who have actual specs of the tablets to compare to.
As Tapastic's Terms Of Service have recently been updated, there's been a bit of a brewhaha over it. If you're wondering where I, and by extension King stand, I'm not a fan of the changes Tapastic has made. But, King is still on hiatus so I'm not going to make any sudden decisions at the moment, and I'm inclined to currently wait it out and see how Tapastic will react to their users and audience. However, now might be a good time to visit my other social media websites as I consider where to go with King's hosting in the future, such as my personal tumblr, http://sedmad.tumblr.com/, the webcomic's tumblr, https://kingwebcomic.tumblr.com/, my twitter, https://twitter.com/horseradishdip, and my deviantart, http://sedmad.deviantart.com/, where I can guarantee I will be able to continue posting art on content for the future!
More bad news - the problem with my computer SHOULD be super easily fixable, which is good... but we have to order the cables we need online and it'll be a few days before they arrive. I guess I'll treat this as a surprise vacation in the mean time, and hopefully we can get my computer fixed up fast and I can get back to posting in a couple of days.
Bad news - I was all ready to start working on tomorrow's page this afternoon, getting my desk set up and waiting for my computer to turn on, when I realized it WAS on. Except... the screen was showing just a dull black and nothing more!
Long story short, looks like either Windows 10 or some display drivers did a mistake - my computer is starting up fine, the screen is working, SKYPE even starts up, but my monitor's not actually showing anything past the boot phase. In order to figure out what the real problem is we need to plug in a second monitor, but my computer is an all-in-one and needs a few converters and cables, neither of which we have, to connect it to a different screen. We'll go out and try to find them tomorrow, and then, fingers crossed, it'll be an easy fix from there. But for now I can't say whether or not I'll be able to get a page up this Monday - we'll see what happens on the computer repair front tomorrow, and I'll let y'all know what the deal is from there!
