I became a professional cartoonist at the age of 15 and later apprenticed on the legacy strip "Nancy" for about seven years. During that time was when "Ralf the Destroyer" was born and also the shortly syndicated, weekly, "Solomon Road". "Ralf" was in the final stages of becoming a syndicated daily strip when newspapers took a nose dive.
I enjoy dry wit, sci-fi, and the art and ridiculous adventures of the mid sixties comic strips.
So, that's what I created.
Tools
Windsor Newton brushes, Speedball pens, Bristol board and a really old version of Photoshop.
My "post every day social media blitz" for the last year or so, will be wrapping up in July as new comics start posting. I will be having to make some decisions about which platforms are really effective and which are just not getting the audience or just cost more than they provide (TOS etc...).
I have wonderful readers who are witty and engaging on all the platforms I post on but, I am an artist and not algorithm savvy so some pruning is necessary.
If you notice the comic isn't updated or available HERE, the comics will be updated and available on the ralfthedestroyer.com web site and a few select social medial platforms. I want to thank my readers for following Ralf's story thus far on this platform and I invite you to continue to follow, where it is published.
