For the first time ever, I get to share the entirety of Tales From the Clarkside: A Tribute to Comic Artists online! I illustrated this comic as a collaboration with the amazing and talented Carl Clark. This comic was created for his fabulous jazz album of the same name (which you should totally listen to over at http://talesfromtheclarkside.com).
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FIRST WRITERS CAMP WINNERS!!!! They picked two really cool ones, and I think it's gonna turn out great for Tapas and the novelists.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Balance will be finished soon and I'll be exploring things like small press, audiobook, podcast and illustrated versions. I know I had a couple of particularly dedicated readers who really stood out. I'd like anyone who wants to keep tabs on the Balance (by which I mean, access to offline, completed chapters!!!) to PM me on here with your email or other best contact info. Even if The Balance goes off Tapas later at a publisher's request, I'm not cutting you out of the journey.
Hey guys! First off I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you for checking out my stuff. Secondly I just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about The Balance (or Allstory for that matter)! I'm polishing up/editing the last half of the novel while I await contest results, and working on new episodes of Allstory. The killing of Dreams will continue to update every Monday as normal. Aaaand once again, I love you guys! Thank you for everything. <3
You guys are beautiful. And you actually gave me the idea to post thumbnails of art for The Balance everyday in the meantime, so at least we got that! I thank you again for being such lovely readers. <3
Hello all! With about a week left in the FirstWritersCamp contest, I want to invite (beg, cajole) you to take a look at my novel The Balance. It's a horror fantasy about a seemingly all-powerful intruder slowly but surely consuming the planet, toppling kingdoms and armies in its wake. And the only people with a prayer of stopping it are those that have been discarded and rejected by the very societies they are trying to protect. There's magic, monsters, and human dignity and love in the face of the erosion of Humanity itself. I'm up to 25 chapters now so if you get into it, you'll have plenty to entertain you. Those who have read so far have been giving me some pretty enthusiastic feedback, so I truly think you won't be disappointed. And as always, thank you so much for joining me in what I do!
Thank you so much! I can honestly say that you personally have played a role in how hard I've been working on this thing. Awesome feedback and encouragement like yours makes writing exciting and worthwhile on some days when maybe, it wouldn't be otherwise.
