Greetings everyone! Life has been coming and going, but I hope it's been well for you all.
It's been about a while since a last wall update (life! graduation! apartment! mental health!), and unfortunately I have no plans to update in a hot minute. BUT in case you've been wondering, here's a long status update for the stories:
Short answer: Everything's on hiatus, but they're still in my thoughts and behind-the-scenes, and I hope to end at least two novels in 2023.
Long answer: In order of priority here...
RUN & CRY WOLF:
My friend is helping me with a deep-read feedback (I think we're about 90 chapters in?) so I can finish the novel in a half-way decent way because I completely trainwrecked whatever the original ending was supposed to be (which uh, was originally always meant to be chapter 10 from conception, but...uh, that totally did not happen hahaha)! It may be a solid chunk of months before you see anything, but the ending is incoming!
FIREBURNT:
We're in the last arc of the story! Writer's blocked, though, because writing purple prose is hard and the tone of Chao's voice is kinda literary :( BUT fear not, this was the work that got me back into writing after years of not writing, and I predict this will be what gets me back into it.
LAST CALL:
This one's writer's blocked and I need to figure out progression. I've always had the main points plotted in a vague outline (hence my fantastic foreshadowing everywhere), but there are still so many scenes I want to slide in that I'm not sure will be possible.
IN OVER YOUR HEAD:
WIP anthology. This just...updates whenever haha XD
I AM THE SECOND MALE LEAD'S FATHER:
This one's last on the list because it was an experimental novel to see if I could get joosi joosi dopamine, but unfortunately the perils of fatherhood in another world with spicy politics require brain power. None of which I have, but maybe eventually!

PSST!!! Y'all wanna know something hilarious?
As of right now, the working document (so including all the extra scenes/deleted scenes/original pre-rewritten parts that didn't make it in the final section) of each story is as follows:
Fireburnt: 297 pages (113,257 words)
Run & Cry Wolf: 418 pages (149,268 words)
Last Call: 241 pages (89,877 words)
Kind of hilarious R&CW is over 100 pages more than the other two. I've got a lot of bloopers and alternate scenes, because the story could have gone anywhere haha, but I had no idea it was that much
I do like all these words I've managed to write in the 2 years I've been on Tapas, but dang, hope I don't reach a page limit in Microsoft Word lol...they already take a bit of time to buffer up all the text when I open them T_T

Announcing a new update schedule(?):
There won't be.
Fireburnt, R&CW, and LC have all have had a relatively (oopz) consistent update day/time in the past year, but I had a bit more free time to work on them in the past, than I will now that I'm in school. Realistically speaking, though, now that I've been through my first week, I don't think it'll be possible to keep up what I had (had a feeling...). Which is a little disappointing because I love my stories and getting to yoink 'em at you every week is a thrill!
This definitely doesn't mean I won't be updating at all in this school period! My rate of writing/updating will just be slower, and not as consistent on a day or schedule. My at-a-estimate estimation is maybe each story would update 1-2 times a month rather than the 4 times right now, but we'll see how it goes. I won't promise an update day, but please be assured that these stories are all my own personal projects that I wanna see finished in 2020-2021 at least, because I've got a zillion more where they came from.
*TL;DR:* All three stories will be moving to occasional updates with no set update day. This will begin after this week's updates.

Hi all! Just a quick note of thank you for your patience as I start school this academic year! This week's updates will be paused as I get used to things, but I hope to get something out for next week!
This is aso a heads up: Based on school workload, I might end up needing to update once in a while instead of weekly, but we'll see how it goes. I will keep you updated about whatever decision I do make.
