Over the next three days, a project I've been working on for six months will finally be available to you. This is a story I've been very eager to share, a labor of love that I've been tearing apart and putting back together ad nauseum.
It involves one of my most favorite characters; if you've played in my tabletop RPG campaigns, you know who he is and I hope you enjoy getting to know him a little more intimately. If you haven't joined one of our RPG sessions and you love him after reading this, then maybe it will compel you to come and join us.
Either way, thank you for subscribing and reading my work. You mean the world to me. ^_^
How very cool of Tapas to turn on the tipping option for creators. I think anyone who can toss a few bits out in support of free content creators absolutely should.
As my father always told me "The term Starving Artist was coined for a reason."
I just wanted to say thank you to Lady Darkstar, the first person to actually drop a dollar in my Patreon tipcup. I'll post the link below for anyone else who has a few ducats to spare and wouldn't mind helping me free up more time to write.
So I'm wondering if Tapas is the best place for my writing . . .
It's no secret, the forums are abuzz with a lot of writers who comment about how they feel that Tapas is geared more towards comics than it is novels, and I can't discredit that because I was found Tapas because I needed comics to read.
Anyway, I'm not leaving Tapas, I'm just side-posting on a few other sites to see what sort of reception I find. Thanks to everyone out there who DOES read my stuff on Tapas, you're my favorite people and I love your faces.
Although, Fictionpress is a nice ego boost when you get noticed, because the reader base is younger (I think) they're kind of awe struck when they reply.
Thanks so much to Nessie Fynn, the immensely talented artist and writer behind Dr. B. Goodlove, for this glorious picture of our Chemosan protagonist. Anyone who can appreciate a good old fashioned romantic "Boy meets girl, boy dies in freak accident, different girl brings boy back to life in Frankenstein-like fashion" story should subscribe to her wonderful comic.
