NEWS!
It’s been a while! (again). I have some good news and bad news.
Good: I finished my first graphic novel, the one from the contest! Yay! It now exists as a book (distributed only in Mexico, though).
Bad: This means TWJ will still be in hiatus hell. For... a while.
Also good: I got a government grant to write another graphic novel, and signed with a publisher to draw the illustrations for yet another one! That’s two graphic novels next year!! Here’s some of the art I’ve made for it so far:
Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I won a national graphic novel contest. I'm SUPER happy!!! I'll be MIA for at least the next three months because I have to finish it for publication.
My career in comics started with The Witch Journals and I was able to continue because I looked forward to hearing back from readers, so I want to thank all of you who have read it. I've gotten this far thanks to you! <3 <3 <3
PS. Also a big, big thank you to those of you who sent me ink for Inksgiving! I was still reeling from the contest announcement so I haven't gotten around to thanking you personally, but I will!!! Thank you!!!
the original "ceremony" in spanish! the columns were a pain to tile for web since all of them have small differences. i really hated my past self for drawing them that way hahah. i love the way it works and feels different in both formats, though!
ps. also, it's been 82 years, but... I sketched one of the extra episodes for TWJ yesterday ;)
Wait there are so many new subscribers! Hello everyone!! Where did you all come from? Thank you for following TWJ even if my updating schedule is non-existent right now ♡
