Recently I attended a comics workshop, theme of which was "postcards from the future". We walked in the center of Riga through snow and wind in search for a place to imagine after 20 years and draw on a postcard. Then we randomly exchanged the postcards and needed to draw a comic about postcards we got. I got a drawing and description of a Chinese bistro, which "looks like a collaboration between China and USSR". Imagining this in the context of the 2043, I drew this comic:
In May I went to 2-days workshop, which was organized by local comics publisher http://www.komikss.lv/
The final result was meant to be a 1-page comic on the forest theme printed by risography in green and orange colors. The atmosphere was very friendly, we discussed and helped with ideas of each other. The results came out interesting and really different, because nearly nobody had experience with risoprinting. Currently there is an exhibition in Riga with our works.
Btw one of the artists, who participated, is also on Tapas, you can check out her comics https://tapas.io/amandamazaa
