Hello there,
I know you may very well never read this and this might be far from the only request like this you've gotten, but I really liked your art in "Blink" and I'd like to propose a project for us to work on together.
I always wanted to tell stories, but my first tries didn't go that well. One reason might be because I tried it in english, though a language I'm pretty familiar with by now, it's still not my native language, which brought more than one hurdle with it, the other is that I'm a very visual person and it's hard for me to put the things I imagine into words and describe everything in the detail I imagine. So I thought hey, no harm in trying and that's why you're reading this message now, or maybe not if you choose to ignore it. The story I'm thinking about is about an Immortal man and his journey through the centuries.
Here is the first bit I came up with, it's only a very short sample, I know but it should give you an idea of what I'm thinking off and combined with some strong images, it'd make an amazing first chapter, by it's own already enough to get readers hooked for the rest :
"As I stand there, inmidst of these wretched flames, feeding off my flesh...
my life, once again flashing before my eyes, like so many times before...
I start wondering...
how even humanitys most advanced weapon
can't grant me the one thing I truly desire."
This'd be an inner monologue, while the immortal man is engulfed by the blast of an atomic bomb, over the panels destroying his body more and more, while at the line about his life flashing before his eyes images of his past appear around him, until it ends with him, naked, but otherwhise completely unharmed, kneeling in a field of ash, shedding tears at the last line, while sone ruins crumble around him and the burned up corpses and skelletons of the less fortunate stick out of the ashes.
So, what do you think? I'd love to hear from you, but of course I can understand if not.
I'm truly grateful for your kind words regarding my work in "Blink" and your enthusiasm for a potential collaboration. Your concept for a story following an immortal man's journey through the centuries is undeniably intriguing. Your decision to share a sample is greatly appreciated, as it provides me with a clear glimpse into the narrative and visuals you're envisioning.
The passage you've shared is undeniably powerful. The amalgamation of an inner monologue with vivid visual imagery promises to create a captivating opening chapter. The immortal man's resilience amidst destruction and his profound desire add remarkable depth to the character, setting the stage for an engrossing storyline.
While I would love to dive into such a collaborative project, my current commitments prevent me from engaging in long-term collaborations at the moment. However, I wholeheartedly encourage you to explore this concept further.
I would recommend seeking out a talented illustrator or artist who shares your vision to bring your visual elements to life. Together, you can forge a one-of-a-kind graphic novel or comic book series that brings your unique story to a broader audience.
I extend my best wishes for success in your creative endeavors, and I hope to see your project come to fruition!
