I will continue with this piece of creative writing because I've grown attached to the world forming in my mind, the characters I want to construct, and the themes I want to explore, but the way I was going about it was short-sighted and would've resulted in a story I wouldn't be proud to publish.
All posted and drafted chapters have been removed (except for the 'Prologue' chapter) because when I started writing A Sailor's Tale, I didn't have a plan or end goal in mind. I started writing and hoped to produce a coherent story structure and conclusion based on my creativity and foresight. Unsurprisingly, this is a very naive approach to writing a book.
For now, AST will be benched, but in the works, as I try to make it work this time. I'll be starting from the very beginning by slogging through an outline. It's possible but unlikely that I'll provide frequent updates about how the writing process is going, so please temper your anticipation, but I need it to be known that I will continue to work on this in my spare time outside of school.
Hopefully, my writing will improve once I return to producing and publishing chapters for you guys.
