I do concept art professionally and there is the deepest love in me for comics, thus making one has been the goal for me for the past year. Finally! It's out and I'll be posting it regularly on Thursdays, once a week :)
"This is boring" this was the third time the same thought crossed Meatneck's mind, he promised himself to act on a whim if it was repeated at least three times in his mind.
A celebrity in his mysterious and hidden world of wizards and witches, a host of the paranormal show "There is a ghost in ma boot!" in the world of ordinary humans that was a cross between ghost hunting and a westerner ("shoot em right in the plasma!") and an adventurer. He got tired of it all, got tired of his crew, his fans and for some reason even his parents.
A change was coming and he knew that, all that he built up till this date didn't matter. He needed a partner. Not just any partner, but somebody who had the thirst and the craziness to adventure together with him to solve the deepest mysteries of the world.
He made a flyer, paid some young wizards in need of money and sent them around campuses to help find his partner.
Shortly, pretenders for the partnership were lining up. The auditions were short as well, in his second interview he decided to wrap it up and call all of the other people to go home. He found the one, she was crazy and adventurous enough. He found Bloodcurls, who has been camping for a week to get a shot at the opportunity.
You can read my comics about the adventures and mysteries of Meatneck and Bloodcurls right here on tapastic :)
An illustration of Bloodcurls from my comics, Bloodmeat.
Before she named herself Bloodcurls, her name was Anne. Before traveling the world with her future partner, she first adored him and his courage to explore and adventure before even speaking to him first.
But he was a celebrity in a sense, at least among those who liked to solve mysteries and watch ghost documentaries late into the night. She was of course one of those but she was also a wizard and knew that ghosts did exist, that evil spirits did manifest in the world and that sometimes demons took possessions of unsuspecting ouija board users. She also knew that somebody had to send those evil spirits back to their domain and this is how she joined Meatneck, as an acolyte at first and later on as a full time employee and later on as a partner.
Their travels took them around the world, even to places where everything seemed fine and free but in fact there was a great oppressive mystery brewing. Right in the heart of Berlin.
Comics update: There haven't been any updates on the comics since forever (or if to be exact, since February)! I'm working on new pages, completely different style and the story for the next 3 chapters is ready since April.
From what I gather now, it will take me a couple of months or maybe 2.5-3 months to finish all 3 chapters before I release new pages (depends heavily on work load). Then the comics will be posted twice a week. I hope the comics will be really awesome, as awesome as I want it to be :)
