Chapter 1: (part 2)
Wolf, Eva, and Urza approach the front desk of the lobby, where a woman with curly black hair and dark skin sits. She looks up with a smile. Wolf hands the key to the woman as she states the gratitude. As they exit, Wolf turns to Eva. “Your information and permit.” Eva acknowledged and digs through her back pack and hands a chip over to him. “Both in here?” Eva nods as she darts to the boarding dock to jump into the boat. She gives the address to the driver of the boat, who has curly blonde hair and beard and short horn. The driver nods as he stands to the back of boat. As he walks through, his hairy legs bends with backward knees and hooves feet. He sits on the driver seat and straps himself in. The control lit up as the engine roars. The boat lifts off the water and flies away into the clear blue sky.
“You know, I’ll miss the Medi port planet,” Urza says, as she covers her eyes from the bright sun, “full of culture and all.” She looks down and sees many type of people. Tall, strong people with stubbed nose and horn like hair walks together arguing about the best selection of rifles from the portable projector. A red woman with long pointed nose and wild black hair tries to bargain with another woman with pointed ears, orange hair, and soft brown nose about a finely crafted dagger. A large hairy man exits the boat with an open umbrella to cover from the hot sun. A married couple with squared face and curly manes walks into the same tavern Urza and Wolf exits.
“Nah, the port is too warm and crowded for me. Makes me feel claustrophobic,” Wolf grumbles. He and Urza walks towards a ship with the destination written on the projector. The destination reads “Medi Space Port.” They walk upward on the boarding ramp, as bronze skinned, white hair people walks down the exit ramp. Urza watches them with fascination, seeing another of her mother’s kind. Urza and Wolf present their boarding slip to the keeper of the ship, who is a slim figure with arms and legs shorter than normally seen on a person. The keeper examines the slips with his wide dark eyes. He twitches his spiky, bushy mustache, which is stark different with the soft, soaked hair of the rest of his body. He stamps the slips and welcomed them aboard. Wolf and Urza walk towards the third row of seats of the front observatory window sits behind hairy man with sharp ears and pointed nose. The hairy man’s leg is shaped with a raised ankle and small thigh. His padded paws shift every so often on the cold metal plate.
Behind Wolf and Urza is a bulky navy skinned person with large head and fin on her back. Her mouth is wider than a normal mouth, as it is enough to consume a basket of fruit in one gulp. Her child stares with his tiny beady eyes at Urza with curiosity. The larger male with goggles strapped on the back of his large head comes to sit next to the child and greeted Urza with a large smile.
The captain announces through the speaker that the ship is about to depart to the Space Port. The ship begins to lift and ascend towards the blue sky. Urza looks at the side window to see a city of bays and buildings on a floating platform above the water. There are many platforms like the one they just left, some larger, some smaller. There are floating platforms in the sky, which has law enforcement and political buildings. Urza figures that her Aunt Eva might be in one of the building for the court. The blue sky begins to darken into black, while a brighter yellow light of the sun still shines in the void. Urza looks up to see a giant floating tower with many large ships docking and exiting on the different level of rings.
The ship enters the hangar at the bottom of the tower. The people begins to get off the seat and walks towards the exit ramp. The mustached man bids the passengers goodbyes. Wolf and Urza approach the registration desk for departure. A curly haired man with horns fixes his glasses and greet Wolf and Urza. Wolf presents the info-chips and the permit to the man. “Evangelion Dragancroi will be arriving shortly. She’s finishing up her parol at the court.”
“Thank you for the note of that and the permit, all I need from her is her identifications,” the man replied. He types onto the board as the projector uploads and downloads the information. “Excellent, you fellows have a safe jump then.”
Wolf tilts his head with question, “I haven’t paid yet.”
The man smiles, “No need for that, Mr. Wolfgang Dragancroi. You, Miss Urza Dragancroi, and Miss Evangelion Dragancroi are all ready to board. Your jumps have already been covered in the curtesy of the Grand Duchess of Erie.”
Surprised, Urza and Wolf thanks the man on the desk and head towards the assigned departing dock. They walk into the elevator to go to the 26th floor. “Awfully generous of the Duchess to do that,” Urza proclaims, “do you and Aunt Eva know her?” Wolf shakes his head. They exit the elevator and walk into a corridor with windows on both side showing the dark space with speckled white dots and the yellow sun. They see the corner of the blue planet from the window. Urza and Wolf exits the corridor into the spacious curved hallway, which is the rings connected to the tower. They proceed to their dock as they push through the crowd of lightly armored horned soldiers; rich woman with groomed mane, puffed shoulders, and wide dress; and pack of hairy pointed nose people.
Wolf and Urza arrived at their docking bay and take a seat. Wolf and Urza both take out their scrolls from the backpacks. They press on the top button to unlock the scrolls and pulls the two sticks to reveal a solid page with electronic writings. While waiting for the arrival of Eva, they read their scrolls. Urza leans onto her father’s shoulder, while reading. Wolf puts his hand onto his daughter’s head and kiss her head. They read as the crowd of people continues to walk back and forth on the ring.

The hours projector on the wall reads 1607. Wolf checks caller deck. A message sent from Eva tells him that she is arriving the hangar at the bottom. Wolf looks to Urza, now sleeping on his shoulder. He then looks up to the news caster screen. A woman, with amber curly hair and small horns, begins to list the news currently breaking. The former United Kingdom of the Xi have been continuing their civil war. The Shi-Shi, Qilin, and Xialong factions have continued their fights for the last two years. The next news talks of the Federation of Hunters voting on whether or not to start answering to the random attacks, which many believed to be the attacks of the mighty Yetin Empire. Next news speaks of the Independant State of Faer continuing their protests of the Imperial Rotyr constructing their bases on their homes. The last news shows a recording of a speech. The subtitle reads Grand Legatus Ricardus of the Imperial Rotyr Legion. Wolf grimaced at the mention of the name.
Ricardas wears a mask covering his face. His arms shifts with mechanical parts. He states his speech, “In the midst of the protests of the Faer and many dangerous threats of their ally, the Warradrac Kingdom, I, with our allies, the Ras and Shivian, will continue to uphold the peace and safety for the Imperial Union. We certainly hope that the Tengu Empire could aid us in bringing the Gumiho Monarch into our Union. We thank you for your patience and cooperations as we work in this troubled time.”
“Sounds like a sack of bullshit to me,” Eva states as she approaches Wolf and Urza. “Our little angel got some rest?” She strokes Urza’s white hair, which flickers her eyes to open. “Hey, kiddo, got you something. Happy Birthday!” Eva digs through her backpack pulls out a scroll with the title “Master of the Goblet: The Three Thrones.”
Urza’s sleepy eyes widen in delight, “You found the second book! I couldn’t find that anywhere!” She grasps for the scrolls and hugs it. “I can’t wait to read what Trevor will do next with the Agent by his side.” Wolf rolls his eyes, as Eva chuckles. The announcing speaker calls for departure to the Eursia docking bay. Urza shuffles her new book into her backpack, as Eva and Wolf grabs their bags. They check their luggages into the compartment and proceed to enter the ship. The attendants and pilot greet the passengers as they board the ship. The ship is three levels high with five rows of seats. Urza takes the assigned seat as she set her backpack in front her, while Wolf and Eva organize their bags.
Eva settles herself into her seat and sleep, while Wolf pulls out a wrapped bag out of the pack. He hands it to Urza. “Happy Birthday.” Urza takes the present and opens it. Inside the somewhat crude wrapping, it was a pictured frame. Urza watches it and wells up a little tear. The picture of her mother, Jezerel, smiling the brightest smile, as she carries a bronze infant with a happy face. The baby was Urza herself.
She looks at her father with sadness and joy. “Thank you, father. I always wanted to see her best smile.” Wolf leans in and kiss her on the head. The captain announces the final departure as the last passenger buckles in. They hear the mighty roar of the engine. Urza leans on Wolf’s shoulder as they watch the departure from the window. The last ray of light vanishes as they enter the jump. They see a gray void through the window. “What will grandma think of me?”
Wolf looks down at his daughter and shifts his attention back to the window. “I guess you’ll have to ask the Duchess herself.”
