So, as of April, Atlantic Canada had a wage hike. Personally, it's been going good! I recall that it wasn't until The spring that I could afford rent AND food!
Anyway, in older Maritime folklore, cleverness made for a happy ending. As long as you were clever, it didn't matter if you were betting a rich guy or the Devil himself, you'd outsmart them and achieve your happy ending. As the old phrase goes, folks gotta work smart, not hard!
