When the summer came months later, Taehee sat outside in the same spot and looked around. She was distracted by the hot sun’s rays and the warm breeze. There wasn’t any housework to do and her mother was in town, picking up a few things.
Then she felt as if something was off––Taehee felt someone’s piercing gaze on her, and the sudden silence and stillness of everything around her threw her off.
She slowly looked up to see the same perfect she had encountered during the wintertime looking right back at her.
Taehee stood up and took a few steps forward before pausing.
Was that really him?
She stood there stiffly as the perfect walked across the field.
When he was just a few feet away from her, Taehee held her hands up. “S-Stop,” she whispered.
The perfect did as he was told.
“Are you…the…Have we met before?”
He nodded.
“Here?”
He nodded again.
“So you’re that boy from the winter?”
He nodded.
Taehee took a good look at him. The perfect had milky white skin and a pair of strong brows that only added to his stoic expression. He had pale pink lips and protruding collar bones that were to die for. His shoulders were wide and broad, and he was pretty skinny but had a tall frame.
His light brown hair was swooped up and Taehee noticed the diamond earring he wore in each ear. It was odd––something she had never seen before, but at the same time, all of his features made him insanely attractive.
The perfect smiled and looked away. “You find this amusing?” he asked with a bit of playfulness in his tone.
Taehee looked at him. “I’ve…never seen a perfect up close before,” she admitted.
He nodded. “I’ve never seen a human either.”
She rolled her eyes before looking back at him. “I’m Taehee.”
He smiled again and reached his hand out.
“Minhyuk.”
