I told mum about what happened, leaving out the bit where I freaked out and I got kissed. I avoided it and came up with the excuse: I was kinda just lost in thought.
"Hey honey are you okay you're real red in the face?" She asked. I nodded and ran.
I walked back to my bedroom and chucked myself onto the bed. I once again replayed the kiss in my head. I grabbed a pillow and wrapped it around my head covering my eyes, ears, nose, mouth and blushing cheeks.
Muffled screams was the only thing my entire neighbourhood could hear for about 20 minutes.
I got up and walked back to the kitchen, I grabbed a bottle of water and headed to the front door. I twisted the fly-screen door handle and heard my mother calling my name.
"Yeah mum!" I asked across the house.
"Where ya going?" She called in response.
"Bush." I call back. She popped her head around so we could see one another. She gave me a thumbs up and a smile as I stepped out the door.
I walked down the street, up a hill, then down another hill till I spotted the tall gum trees. Success! I thought. I dashed into the bush so I was pretty far in. As I stopped panting I took a big deep deep breath I'm not even lying when I tell you I thought there wouldn't be any air left that's how deep a breath I took. Then breathe out, then in. And then...
"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHE KISSED MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YESSSSSSSSSSS EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I walked out of the bush, hands in pockets, face completely calm like nothing had happened at all, but in my head i was still screaming. Im the luckiest person in Australia! Wait no I'm the luckiest person in the WHOLE WORLD! I'm sure of it!
I arrived back home and took my phone to my room. I laid down on bed and went through my school's facebook page to find any, and I mean ANY photo's of Max.
I smelt something coming from the kitchen so I went out to find fried rice from the restaurant down the road. Yummmmmm I thought.
"So yeah I told her to dump his ass cuz he cheated on her!"
"NO he didn't!"
"Yeah yeah and he says ' OH I DIDNT! DONT BE A BITCH' so she was like: 'YOU DICK HEAD CANT EVEN ADMIT IT YOU PUS- oh hi Ky!" My sister said.
"Hey." I reply.
Pointed to the rice and my mother noticed and nodded. I grabbed a plate and headed to my room. I sat there eating my dinner but I couldn't stop thinking about her! Then I dropped my fork and everything in my head clicked.
"Holy shit I'm gay as fuck dude."
