Lucas gives the goup a tour around the town. From the kingdom, to the tavern thats known to gather some unique travelers. During the whole tour Suzy seems to be using the information for something as they leaves a sinister grin on her face. But every time Isobel looks back and checks on them Suzy quickly looks fine again as Isobel kept an eye on them. As quick as the tour started, Lucas ran out of things to show the group.

“…and thats pretty much it of the town.” Said Lucas as he looks like he purposely cut it short as he needed his list done. “ I think you guys c-can figure out the rest of the place on you’re own.”

“Thanks for that Lucas.” Said Jerry “we’ll see you later.”

The group starts to make their leave as if Suzy looks like they aren’t done with Lucas as they look like they want something from him.

“Say, this is an interesting place. How about we-”

“I think he did enough for us one day.” Said Isobel as she steps in and becomes a barriar between the two. “Why don’t ya go back with the others and rest up for the day.”

“…fine.” Suzy finally left Lucas alone as she talks to Suzy.

“I’ll take it from here now hon.” She said “you go ahead on doing your shopping.”

“Sure thing. Take care.” Said Lucas as he makes his way back to the market. But it look like Suzy did something as they wached them leave with a smile on their face.

While unaware, Lucas makes his way back to the market as he looks back from where he was.

“Finally, we can leave.” Said Lucas “ I thought I wasn’t able to, whats up with them?”

“I have some theories about this.” Said Ubuvu as he knew who made them that way.

“But lets focus on the task at hand yeah? So where are we going first?”

“Figured we go to the chop shop first for meat. Let me just-” Lucas reaches for the coin to get ready. But as he gets the coin purse, Lucas’ face turns pale in horror as the coin purse is missing.

“U-u-uh.”

Ubuvu knew somethings wrong as he morphs out of his beast form to see what is wrong.

“Are you ok? Whats wrong?”

“T-the coin purse! Its gone!”

Lucas looked panicked as Ubuvu notice the bag of coins that are around Lucas’ waist is gone.

“Now who would do this?”

“Looking for this?”

Lucas and Ubuvu look back and see Suzy holding his bag of coins as they wave them, taunting the two of them.

“H-hey! Thats mine!” Lucas yelled.

“Oh? You want this? Then come and get it!” Suzy makes a run for it as Lucas makes chase. “Hey come back here!” he yelled. He could simply fly after them, but it was to crowded right as he made the choice as he tries to squeeze through the crowd. Once he finally got out of there, he looked around and realized Suzy is nowhere to be seen as he looks panicked.

“T-they're gone?!” Lucas said as he looks like hes about to have an anxiety attack as he just froze in place. 

“No no no no! What do I do?!”

Ubuvu noticed Lucas is spiraling as he knew what to do. He stands in front of Lucas and talks to him in a calm voice.

“Lad. I can feel that you’re in a lot of stress.” Said Ubuvu calmly “do you want take a moment to calm down?”

Lucas couldn’t respond due to the stress as he nods in response.

“Ok, follow me. I’ll take you somewhere more private.”

Suzy looks back and noticed that Lucas isn’t following them anymore as they laugh and look at their prize.

“Heh, some chosen one he is?” Suzy said to themselves “my lord has nothing to worry about. Now, what to buy with this?”

“How about you give it back to its owner.”

Suzy looked over and sees Isobel making her away towards them.

“Hand over that bag Suzy.” Said Isobel “I don’t want to start any fights.”

“Hand it over? HA!” they laughed “and who’s gonna believe you that I’ve took it?”

“I don’t care if they do or not.” Isobel answered as she knows Suzy is taunting her “like I said, hand that over to me and we’ll not start any fights.”

Suzy looked like they were gonna fight for it. Suddenly someone steps in.

“Whats going on here?”

They look and see Eiden as they heard the commotion.

“Whatever it is, you better give it back or else you’ll be dealing with the consequences.”

While theres a stand off in the town, Ubuvu and Lucas were behind a building as Ubuvu helps Lucas calm down.

“Well, he looks calm now.” Ubuvu thought to himself “but I can tell hes still stressed out…hmm…”

Ubuvu remembers that Lucas has always singed a certain tune to himself. So, Ubuvu came up with an idea how to get Lucas to fully calm down. “…maybe It’ll be a worth to try.”

“Hey Lucas.” Said Ubuvu as he gets his attention. “I notice you sing a certain song to yourself from time to time. If its not too much to ask but can you sing the song to me?”

“Y-you’re not gonna make fun of me, are you?” Lucas asked as he looks hesitant about it.

“Not at all.” Ubuvu respond. “You won’t get a single judgment from me.”

“Ok.”

Ubuvu gets ready to listen as Lucas clears his throat. He sighs and gets ready to sing the song that Lucas sings to himself.

(The knight with a heavy weight, has fallen to the dark.

I was here to protect this town and now it is gone. 

Please forgive me o Lord for I have lost sight.

Now I walk alone in the dark winter night.) 

(Poor remorseful knight. You've been through much pain. 

I shall give a glimmer of hope. 

With a second wind, you'll find a place to call home. 

I hope this town will give you peace.)

Lucas finishes singing as he lets out a sigh as hes now fully calmed down.

“What an interesting song Lucas.” Said Ubuvu.

“Thanks” said Lucas.

“I never heard that one before. Where did you hear it from?”

“Oh, that song is actually made up by my brother. He only sang it to me when I got overwhelmed or stressed when I was little.”

“Oh? Whats his name?” Ubuvu asked.

“His name is Eiden. It may not looked like it but him and I used to get along…”

Lucas’ smile fades “but ever since he became a royal guard, he’s been keeping his distance from me. Like he doesn’t want to do anything with me. I refuse to believe he would ignore me because… he made a…”

Lucas looks like he was elsewhere as he shook his head.

“Sorry, I think I’m not ready to talk about it yet.”

“No its ok.” Said Ubuvu “you don’t have to apologize for it.”

Lucas sits ups and brushes the dirt off of him as he sighs.

“Well. Theres no use sitting here and sulk about it.” Said Lucas “I better find Mum and tell her what happened.”

“Don’t worry Lucas.” Said Ubuvu “I’ll help you out if you can’t find the words.”

“Thank you Ubuvu.”

Lucas makes comes out of hiding and makes his way back home with his head down with regret as he has to come home empty handed because the money was stolen. But as he was making his way home, he noticed Isobel and Eiden make their way towards Lucas as Isobel has something in her hands.

“Guys? What are you doing here?” Lucas asked.

Isobel hands him the bag of gold that Suzy stole from him as Lucas looks at is shock. “We believed this belongs to you.”

“YOU GOT IT BACK! OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!” Lucas said as he felt a sense of relief wave over him as he grabs the bag out of Isobel’s hands.

“No problem Lucas.” Isobel smiled as Eiden watches Lucas and Isobel as he gets ready to leave.

“I’m heading back to my post.” He said “careful with it next time alright?”

Lucas looked like he wanted to say something to Eiden but all he said was

“Okay.” and Eiden leaves. Isobel talks to Lucas as she feels bad about what happened.

“Hey, sorry about what Suzy did.” Said Isobel “if theres anything you want me do to make up for their behavior earlier, I’m glad to help.”

Lucas didn’t really want Isobel to help him for the way Suzy did as it wasn’t her fault at all. But he thought about he might he need help with taking the ingredients back to Lucas’ home.

“Well. I do need help carrying a few things back to my place.” Said Lucas.

“Sure thing. What are you getting?” Isobel asked as Lucas opens the list and shows it to her.

“Just a few things to make hagase.” Lucas replied as she looks at the list. She looks a little confused about the list that Lucas wasn’t aware of.

“Funny, I never heard anyone use fires in it.” Said Isobel as Lucas looks confused by it and quickly looks at the list and noticed theres a different list that is labeled “for Lucas” as he knew right away what its for.

“This isn’t part of the hagase.” Said Lucas “its the ingredients for poutine! Oh thank goodness.” Lucas puts the list away as he gets ready to go back to the shop for the meat.

“Come one, I’ll lead the way.” Said Lucas

“Sure thing.” Said Isobel “your the boss.”

Lucas and Isobel make their way around the town. Going from market to market as they collect things for Lucas’ dinner while Isobel uses the chance to see what has change since the last time she lived in Tree Oak grove. It’s a trip down memory lane for Isobel ever since her family moved to Dragon’s edge when she was young. One they're done with their trip, the two of them carried their things to the side of the center of town to let Lucas look at the list one more time.

“Is that everything?” Isobel asked. Lucas scans the list one more time and sees hes marked everything off the list.

“Yep.” Said Lucas “looks like I got everything. We can take these to my place.”

“Wait a minute Lucas.” Ubuvu gets Lucas attention as he looked like he had a plan for something. 

“Is there any gold left to spare?” he asked.

“Yeah, what for?”

“Mind if I buy something for you?”

“…sure.” Lucas takes the bag of whats left out of his waist and hands it to Ubuvu, takes it and flies to a retail store as he squeezes between the door as someone was just leaving the shop. He looks through the shop and spots a pair of simple gloves thats only asking for two gold pieces. Ubuvu takes some of the gold out of the bag and leaves it on the counter for the clerk to see and snatches the gloves and flies out the open window. Ubuvu did look make to make sure the coins were spotted.

 

The shopkeeper did noticed the gloves were missing and what taken its spot was the asking price for them. Confused by all this he just kinda shrugs it off and thought “as long its paid for, who cares.” And puts them in his pocket and walks away as Ubuvu files back to Lucas and give them the gloves.

“What are these for?” Lucas asked

“You’ll see.”

It was night time and everyone just got done having dinner as Lucas is in his room at his table working on something. Lucas was modifying the gloves Ubuvu got for him as he made tiny little holes for the gloves. Kinda like fingerless gloves to put it that way as he finished cutting the gloves, he admires his work as he was able to retract his claws through the gloves like a cat’s paw.

“There you go.” Said Ubuvu “now you won’t feel a thing when freeing them.”

“Thanks Ubuvu.” Said Lucas as Ubuvu smiles. But the smile fades as he lingers on the thought about what Lucas said about Eiden.

“Hey, I know the subject has already past but I know how you felt when your brother suddenly betrayed you.” Said Ubuvu as Lucas listens.

“When you told me bout Eiden, I felt the same confusion and sadness with Naki.” He contenued. “But I can feel something is pulling the strings behind all this. Maybe when this is over, you think you can go talk to him.”

“Well… I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try.” Said Lucas. “But I have one question, how did you know what to do during my episode?”

“Oh. Lets just say I had an old friend that was just like you. I know you and her would get along just well if you two meet.”

While the two of them were enjoying their down time, they didn’t know that Eiden was listening through the door. But he doesn’t look angry, he looks…upset. As he lets out a sigh and leave Lucas alone as he retreats to his room and lays down on his bed. Until Naki starts to speaks.

“Whats he’s doing here?”

“Who is?”

“That boy! Whats he doing here?!”

“He lives here like I do.”

“I warned you if he ever find out I-” Eiden cuts him off as he shouts.

“NOW HOLD ON A DAMN MINUTE! Lucas didn’t even see you. As long as you keep that bloody spirit orb dimmed and stay out of sight he won’t noticed you there.”

The shouting alerts the people in the house as Hudson knocks on the door.

“Eiden? Are you alright? Who are you talking to?”

“Erm, sorry father.” Eiden replied. “I was thinking out loud.”

“Alright but keep yer voice down ok?”

“Sure thing.”

Hudson leaves as Naki returns to the spirit orb as Eiden is left alone as he just lays back down on his bed and covers his face with a pillow.
