As the night begins to set Mike and Lucas were just looking at the stars as they are waiting for the night patrol to take their place. But Lucas fidgets as he looks like he wants to say something but is afraid of how Mike might react.

“Come on Lucas.” He thought “I can’t keep this hidden forever.” Lucas sighs as he gets ready to tell him about the spirit orb.

“Hey Mike, can I tell you something?”

“Of course lad. What is it?”

“W-well. I don’t know how to clear this up but its something that happened today. When I defeated that beast, it became a spirit orb?”

“A spirit orb? As in, the one they told tales about?”

“Yeah.”

Mike went silent as he thought of what Lucas has found.

“So the myths were true after all. Then that means…. Lucas wasn’t lying, he did see him.”

Mike looks back at Lucas. “You said you’ve seen it before right?” Mike asked as Lucas nods in response. “Take me there, I’ll protect ya.”

As Night falls, Mike and Lucas walk across the forest as Lucas leads him to the shrine.

“Thanks for believing me Mike.” Said Lucas “I was afraid you wouldn’t at first.”

“No problem friend.”

“It should be just around here.”

“Don’t wonder off too far now, this place get dangerous at at night- huh?”

Mike heard a branch snap as he looks back and sees a giant branch broken in half. What kind of animal that big can break something like that in Mythara? Mike was about to investigate until he heard Lucas yell for him “oh there is, over here!”

Mike leaves it alone and follows Lucas as the shrine of king Ubuvu appears in view.

“Well, go on then.” Mike said “don’t keep him waiting”

Lucas nods and makes his way to the shrine.

As Lucas approaches the shrine, a little ball of light forms in the statue’s hand and then the spirit or of King Ubuvu appears and begins to speak.

“At last! We meet again, Lucas.”

“Hello, Ubuvu.” Lucas responed

“Aah, it see you’re familiar of who I am! Forgive me about my behavior earlier, I was only trying to scare away people from claiming it that I got a little carried away. Thankfully no one got hurt.”

“Oh. T-thats ok. No harm done.”

“None indeed. But since you already know who I am, you know what youre hear for?”

Lucas nods.

“Excellent! Now that you have returned, I’m offering you my powers to you to help but a stop to Naki’s return. So, will you accept my offer?

Lucas stims for a minute as he tries to get himself to calm down as the third times a charm, Lucas reaches for the spirit orb and then…. Claims it.

Lucas picks up the spirit orb as its now in his hands as he looks at it in awe. Until Mike looks a little scared as he spotted something in the bushes as something big is coming after them “uuh, Lucas!”

The giant monster creeps out from the shadows revaling to be a giant monstrous bat that has a giant scare across its eye as it has a huge grin on his face.

“You need to run, NOW!” Ubuvu demand as Lucas and Mike make a run for it. Eventually Lucas makes a turn around the corner and hides behind the tree, holding the spirit orb up against his chest.

“Whoa man, what was that?!”

“My brother Naki.” Ubuvu responed

“You're brother?”

“Yes, the same one that scared you away when we first met. It seems he’s trying to prevent you from finding me again. I was afraid he would pull this stunt again.”

Lucas looks around and realized something isn’t right.

“Wait a minute I don’t see- oh no, MIKE!”

Lucas was about to come out of hiding and save Mike as Ubuvu stops hin for a second.

“Wait wait wait calm down! Listen to me, Naki could expect you to be vulnerable if you try to go up against him. If you want to help your friend I’ll offer you my powers as promised. Try to remain calm, Focus and let my power flow in you. Can you do it?”

Lucas nods as he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and accepts the kings gift. Where once stands a Human now is a chosen shifter as he dawns a new pair of wings, claws that can cut a tomato in half, and his hair and fur is white as the snow on a winter day. As Lucas opens his eyes, he sees hes now what Ubuvu’s kind call him, an Aphol Hubatian.

“Now, lets go save Mike.”

“Right!”

Meanwhile, Mike was making a run for it as he tries to get Naki off his tail but Naki was able to keep up with Mike as he smiles and gets ready to swipe Mike off his feet. Only one swing and BAM! He hit Mike on his side as he lets out a yell, he stumbles to the ground as Mike tries to find his footing again, he felt a sharp paon on his side as he looks, Naki left a deep cut on his side as hes paralyzed in fear that the fact something was able to cut trough metal like it was nothing.

“D-Daingead…” Mike blurred out as he the pain form the wound hurts like hell. Naki starts to approch Mike as he chuckles.

“Well, well, well.” Said Naki “its seems we’ve came to a halt. Perhaps I can offer something that your little friend has in excange of sparing youre life.”

Naki offers Mike the spirit orb, just like king Ubuvu’s but it is red.

“I’ll grant you the power of a Hubatian king and with your assisstance we can take over this Tree Oak Grove and you’ll become powerful and stronger than any human, humanoid, and Hubatian kind! So, how about it? Do we have a deal?”

Mike hesitates as the pain from the wound in unbearable to speak but Mike was able to muster a few words.

“Do you….take me for a fool?! Urk…I’ll….I’ll never work for you…you overgrown bat!!”

“No? *sigh* how unfortunate. And you’d make a perfect assistant.”

Naki gets ready to attack Mike to put him out of his misery as Mike braces for the impact. “SAY YOU'RE PRAYERS!”

Naki swings at Mike to finish him off but Lucas made it just in time as Lucas grabs Naki’s claws. Mike looks up and sees Lucas stopping the impact.

“Lucas?!”

“Leave…my friend…ALONE!”

Lucas uses all of his strength as he pushes Naki with all his might, causing him to tumbles to the ground. Naki looks up and sees Lucas with Ubuvu’s power.

“Well look what we get here. My brother’s little hero gonna save the day?” said Naki as hes clearly taunting him but Lucas doesn’t respond as Naki sits up. 

“No matter. I’ll let you have this victory for now. Have fun being a puppet, Lucas.”

Naki laughs as red fog shrouds him just like Ubuvu in his beast form. And then disappears in front of Lucas.

“Looks like he won’t come back anytime soon.” Said Ubuvu as Lucas calms down and reverts back to his human self. Well, not quite as his wings and tail remains.

“Looks like youre still adjusting to all of this.” Ubuvu respond as he makes his apperance.

“But all that matters is that spirit orb lives inside you now. I’m trusting you with my powers to protect Tree Oak Grove from Naki. I’ll be taging along with to aid you on you’re journey. I with you the best of luck”

Ubuvu retreats to the spirit orb as Lucas looks back and sees Mike reaching out for Lucas.

“A-a little help.”

Lucas helps Mike up as he lets Mike use him for support as he can’t carry him to safety.

“Are you gonna be ok?” Lucas asked as he looks worried.

“Don’t worry.” Mike respond “I’ll be alright.”

Just as Lucas was about to lead Mike to safety, Lucas heard someone calling for him. Not only its the general of the town, but his father.

“There you boys are!” Hudson yelled “I was wondering where you two went. You had me worried for a min..ute…”

Hudson relized that Mike is injured really badly as for Lucas, his son, suddenly has a pair of wings on his back.

“MY GODS!” Hudson yelled “are you alright?! W-What happened?”

“It’s a little complicated…” Lucas responed.

“Why are you? Wha- I- this is just alot to take in, an I’ve seen far worse!”

Hudson takes Mike off Lucas’ shoulders and leads them to home.

“Well first things first, lets get you two home and have Mike get patched up. When we get home, tell me everything that happened.”

It is quiet in the north side of the forest as someone is making a run for it in the forest. Not sure who they are as we can only see a shodowy figure of someone running through the forest. They look like they are chasing something until they’ve stopped. They see a statue that honors the fallen king Naki. 

Naki’s spirit orb is already at the statue’s hand as he wait with anticipation as the figure approaches the shrine, and then.. Claims it. Naki now has a helper.
