The first feeling that Yin felt when he regained consciousness was a piercing chill that made it seem like he was frozen between a pillar of ice. Right next to the unbearable cold were strong winds that blew against the back of the masked boy nearly making him fall on the non-existent floor.
“W-what?”
And then, when Yin’s eyes fully adjusted, he saw nothing but absolute darkness. There were no walls, floors, or any form of life except for him.
“W-what happened to me?”
Yin put his finger to his chin and tried his hardest to resurface the memories of what had happened to him and Yang.
“Me and Yang were fighting Kanshi-sa…and got our ass beat——not really much of a surprise there. But where did we end up?”
Yin started to look around the void, trying to find anything that might give him answers to where he is.
“We went through the Door to Earth and…we should be on Earth, right? Where is this?”
The masked boy began to walk around but no matter where he went, he saw nothing but the vast void. The sound of the wind, his own footsteps, and breathing were the only things Yin was constantly hearing. It was starting to drive him insane.
“Where is Yang? Kanshi-sa hit her pretty hard with that last attack, I need to make sure she is okay.”
Just as the thought of an injured Yang appeared in Yin’s head, his heart had begun to quicken in pace due to anxiety.
“I need to find her…huh?”
As Yin hardened his resolve to find his partner, a bright light appeared from his left side. The masked boy turned to the source of the light and squinted his eyes to vividly see the silhouette of someone sitting down in a feeble position.
“Yang!?”
Yin ran as fast as he could, his speed beating the wind as he entered the domain of the light. As he inched closer, his excitement turned into disappointment as he realized that the individual sitting before him was not Yang but someone else.
The person was a boy, as small as he was but naked.
“Hello?”
Yin called out to the boy.
“Can you tell me where I am? I’m trying to find my way out of this place?”
The naked boy did not respond which greatly annoyed Yin.
“Hello? Hello~?”
No response. Yin grumbled.
“Can you at least tell me if we are on earth or not—“
Yin was cut off mid-sentence due to his throat being suddenly grabbed by a strong hand. He looked over to see that it was the naked boy who was standing with him and seizing the masked boy with his right hand.
“You…”
The naked boy’s face rose…he had no eyes in his sockets, just an empty void of darkness and black tears. Yin felt no fear when he saw the eyes of the naked boy. All he felt was pity and bitterness.
“Who are you…?”
Yin closed his eyes and sighed.
“I…I’m sorry…can you please let me go?”
The light faded…
