Mira returned to the castle, greeted by the princess in an excited embrace. "Auntie Mira!" the princess exclaimed, hugging her tightly.
Mira smiled warmly, returning the embrace. "Hello, dear Elysia. It's good to see you again."
The princess beamed up at her, her eyes sparkling with joy. "I missed you! Did you save the baby dragon from the bad guys?"
Mira's smile softened, and she gently patted the princess's head. "Yes, Your Highness. The bad guys are paying for their mistakes as we speak,” She said, winking at the princess, who erupted in giggles.
Turning to the king and queen, Mira addressed them. "I have taken care of the matter we discussed earlier. Now, I'm afraid it is time for me to leave."
There was a hint of sadness in everyone's eyes, especially the princess's. She clung to Mira, pleading, "Please, Auntie Mira, don't go."
The queen knelt beside her daughter, placing a hand on her shoulder as she wiped away the tears that formed. "Elysia, remember what I told you. If you truly love someone, they will return to you one day."
She then looked at Mira, as if silently asking if she would return.
Mira chuckled softly, reassurance in her eyes. "I won't be gone forever. I'm only going to visit the Fire Dragon's land, Cirreck."
The prince, who had been listening silently but intently, perked up at this. He seemed like he wanted to ask to come along but restrained himself.
The king noticed this and asked him, "Would you like to go as an emissary of Avaloria, with the additional purpose of apologizing for the recent incident?"
The prince's face lit up with joy. "Yes, Father! Thank you for this opportunity."
Everyone laughed at the prince's eagerness, and he blushed, embarrassed but happy.
The king turned to Mira, apologetic. "I apologize for not asking for your thoughts on this matter."
Mira shook her head, smiling.
"It's quite alright, Your Majesty. I wouldn't mind the company, as it's no short distance, even flying. And the prince seems genuinely interested, so I couldn't say no to him either."
And so, Mira and Prince Cedric prepared for their journey to Cirreck, embarking on an adventure that would change their lives forever.
