Basically, people are born with at least 1 magic from one of the gods, but there are cases where a person can be born with 2 or even 3 magics!
The easiest types of magic to get are the magic of the 4 elements, because these gods are the closest to Void, who is the creator of everything.
The further you go in the god's family tree, the more unlikely you are to be born with a rare magic, and there are many gods, so you are more likely to be born with Fire God Magic than Music God Magic.
And it's also impossible to be born with Void's magic; it must be because he's too strong...
Mana is another thing I managed to read in the office books.
Mana exists from birth, but it only manifests when it is well-developed. This occurs in the first 4 or 5 years of life, but I think I've found a way to speed up this process!
Mana works in a similar way to muscles; the more you exercise them, the more they grow.
Something similar happens with mana; the more you train it, the more it develops and increases.
For the mana to increase, I must deplete it to the limit so that it regenerates beyond what it can.
It's a slow process, but that's the only way.
First, I need to unlock my mana. In the books, they say that to control the mana, you need to have concentration and focus on your interior.
Speaking like that, it even sounds like a kind of meditation.
I don't know if doing this will speed up the mana unlocking process, but I need to try it to see if it does any good.
I then, by reading those books, went to test to see if I managed to release my mana.
Stepping out into the backyard, I see the small wooden fences that surround my house. I look back and see the gabled roof made of bricks and my house made of mud bricks.
There isn't much of a need to have strong security where I live, as there are no thieves or anything like that. It's a very peaceful neighborhood.
Further ahead, there is the gate of my residence, which is also made of wood and has a small lock.
In the distance, I can see the houses of the other residents, which are very similar to mine. Perhaps this architecture is common around here.
The sun hits my face and warms me completely; it must be summer...
I sit down on the grass and start to focus inward, closing my eyes.
I confess that this is more difficult than it seems.
Hmm, what exactly am I supposed to feel?
Focus...
Focus on all the energy in your body... Focus on all the parts that are part of myself...
I can visualize this feeling... It's weak, but it's there !
A kind of current of energy that runs through my entire body... Could that be mana?
Suddenly, this strange feeling fades and disappears...
Should be it!
I should be able to unlock my mana if I keep doing this.
It's a strange feeling; it's like threads of energy running through my body...
In one of the books I saw that something was written about the use of magic, I read that there are 3 types of magic:
Controlled Magic
Built-in Magic
Shooting Magic, or Long-Distance Magic
Controlled Magic serves to imbue body parts with magic or imbue objects with it. For example, imbuing a sword with fire would be a form of Controlled Magic.
Controlled Magic also has the power to control things from a distance. For example, controlling the water in a pond that is meters ahead. This feature of controlling things outside the body is only restricted to the magic the user uses.
Built-in Magic serves to strengthen the body's resistance with mana. I'd say this isn't a form of magic, but apparently mana is treated as a fuel for magic, so they put it as a type.
The last spell is Shooting Magic. This spell is about projectiles. This type specializes in speed and accuracy and can contain many usage variables in them.
Shooting Magic can also give specific effects to each projectile, such as controlling its route, being a projectile that multiplies and other functions that depend solely on the user's creativity.
The last thing I studied was about the Schools of Magic and the Adventurers.
To become an adventurer, you must first graduate from a school of magic; it's like a certificate that you are fit for the job. Of course, there are adventurers who act without having graduated from an academy, but they are given fewer opportunities.
There are several schools of magic, but the ones that attract the most attention are: The Skylar Academy of Magic, The Voel Academy of Magic and the Grando Academy of Magic.
These three schools, or academies, are the most prestigious and most competitive. In the future, I want to apply to at least one of these schools.
Of course, my focus will be on Skylar Academy, as it is the closest to me.
I don't really know how registration works to enter these schools, but I think I still have time; I'm not even 1 year old yet...
After graduating from the Academy of Magic, an identification system is made to know what level the student is.
Adventurers recognized by the academies use insignia that show what rank they are in.
The order of the badges from weakest to strongest is: Bronze, Silver, Platinum, Gold, Diamond, and Emerald.
I still haven't had the opportunity to read about any Emerald Badge adventurers; maybe my language knowledge is still low.
Basically, these are the basic things I know about this world.
In the future, I want to be more knowledgeable about Mythology and Academies, but my priority right now is unlocking my mana.
After 5 days, I wake up, and an unexpected event happens!
Today is my brother William's birthday. To be more specific, the 16th of Marchenwind, the third month of the year. He is completing his first year of life.
In the morning, my parents made a little surprise with a vanilla cake with some purple fruits on top and a toothpick representing age.
We celebrated in the kitchen, and my parents sang a song I had never heard before. It must be the "Happy Birthday to You" of this world.
I don't know if it's very healthy to give cake to a 1-year-old, but I can't do much...
Not to mention, the cake was delicious!
I didn't eat much because I don't want to have complications with diabetes in the future...
Now that I realized, I was born in the first month of the year.
During these days, I've been trying to unlock my mana through that training that I developed myself.
Apparently, it's working!
I can feel the mana getting stronger, but it's still very weak.
One thing I've been noticing, which is not new today, is that my mother, Hera, is very clumsy and even chaotic.
She constantly trips, gets agitated, and bumps into furniture unintentionally; it's pretty surreal and absurd. It even seems on purpose!
A month after William's birthday, I have been continuing to train my mana release.
I can feel it more clearly; it's like I'm increasing the opacity of a drawing little by little...
Sitting on the grass in my backyard, I seek the deepest concentration. The sun is setting, the breeze is on my face, and the temperature is mild.
The grass touches my crossed legs and parts of my arms that are relaxed on the ground.
The sound of birds passes over my head. The noise of the leaves is constant and soft.
I can visualize, no, feel, the trickle of mana running through my body...
"Hey." I hear a child's voice.
Slowly opening my eyes, the light blinds me for a moment, but I get used to it.
The sky is a late afternoon red and orange color.
In front of me is William, the one who interrupted me.
"What are you doing?" he asks me looking at me with a doubtful expression.
How do I formulate this sentence?
"I, training, release my mana." Did I say it correctly?
"Can I try?" he asks.
"Yes."
William sits down next to me, legs crossed, the same way I am.
"What do I do?" he asks me expecting me to give instructions.
"Close eyes and concentrate... on the wire..."
"Wire?" he asks, closing his eyes.
How am I going to be able to explain this to a child when I don't even know!?
" Hmm ... I think I understand." William speaks.
You must be kidding. Did he really understand?
"What do you feel?" I ask.
"It feels like there's a lot of water running past me." he says with his eyes closed in his thin voice.
I don't know if he's really succeeding, but I don't mind having company in training...
