(Elaina and Twitch reached the 8^th floor. Twitch quickly limped all the way to the underground facility’s elevator while Elaina followed her to make sure she made it there with no issue. Twitch saw an intercom to the elevator and pressed the button. A moment later, the elevator comes up and opens. Twitch limps in and turns to see Elaina.)

Twitch: S-See you soon, Mother of the Heiress.

(Elaina nodded.)

Elaina: See you soon, Twitch.

(Twitch smiles at Elaina as the elevator doors close with the elevator going down.)

Alvin: Okay. Let’s go to Amy. Take the stairwell that’s down this hallway.

(Elaina turns around and runs down the hallway and sees a door that read “Stairwell B”. She opened it and started walking up the stairs.)

Elaina: Everything about this is messed up. Why did you have patients in a pharmaceutical company? Why do these inhumane experiments?

Alvin: They are not my doing. I was following orders. All these ideals were of Vernek’s and the partners that he had which are long gone.

Elaina: Regardless of whose experiment or idea this was, even if you were following orders, you are still responsible, Alvin! Period. I can’t believe this is what you’ve been doing…

(Alvin was unable to retort Elaina’s remark and stayed silent understanding her view. Elaina decided to change the subject.)

Elaina: Is Vernek himself alive?

Alvin: …He is underground. I thought he was deceased until I saw him after my bonding with Dharkas…

(Alvin groans making Elaina have a migraine.)

Elaina (groaning): What’s wrong?

Alvin (struggling): Dharkas… is consuming me…

Elaina: But I thought you said the consumption would slow or stop if you’re residing within someone.

Alvin: I think… it’s trying to get to you now… If it consumes me completely, it will host with you.

(Hearing this made Elaina become worried, but mostly upset.)

Elaina (angered): …This is what you put on me?! Really Alvin?!

Alvin: I’m still talking to you, am I? I’m not gone yet. You still have time. So, do I… for now.

(Elaina reached the 13^th floor and slowly walked out the stairwell and got in the hallway.)

Elaina (whispering): Dharkas has its own conscience, right?

Alvin: Ever since we bonded, yes.

Elaina (whispering): It doesn’t show emotions?

Alvin: Only what I feel. When you reach Arnold, you’ll see what it can do. Go to your left.

(As Elaina was turning left into a corridor, she saw a dim light coming from another room to her right. As she walked through the open door, she was in shock seeing different body parts in jars on the floor and a nearby shelf.)

Elaina: Oh God…

Alvin: You’re almost there. Keep going. Down the hall to the right.

(Elaina quickly got out of the room and walked to the destination Alvin told her to. Down the hall to her right, she went inside a room and found Squeak facing away from Elaina; tied to a chair, head down. Elaina slowly walked over to her as she observed the room; looked like a small warn down washroom with first aid kits. She got close to Squeak.)

Elaina (quietly): Squeak? It’s Elaina. I’m here.

(Squeak slowly looked up to Elaina whimpering. As she looked up, Elaina saw that Squeak was bloody on the right side of her face; her right ear missing. Elaina was shocked to see nothing was there but blood and a hole where her ear used to be. Squeak’s demeanor changes to Reni.)

Reni (in pain): Get me out of this, Elaina…

(Elaina looked around and found a scalpel on a nearby table and cuts Reni’s bounds. Reni quickly got up and got a towel, wet it at a nearby sink. She wiped away the blood where her ear used to be. Elaina got a first aid kit, put a sanitizing liquid on the wound that made Reni wince in pain, and puts a bandage over it.)

Elaina (quietly): What happened to you?

Reni (in pain): That fucker Darson did this to me. He took my ear 4 minutes ago. This… Fucking… Hurts…

Elaina: How’s Squeak feeling?

Reni: She’s not responsive. She’s gone right now. You’ll be speaking to me for now.

Elaina: Where is Darson?

Reni: I don’t know where he is, but we need to go before he comes back.

(Elaina and Reni got out of the room and quietly tried to walk back to the stairwell. Before they could reach the stairwell door, Arnold came from another hallway and got in front of the stairwell door. Elaina and Reni went into another hallway and into another room that was well lit. Elaina and Reni were looking around the room. Reni spotted a naked man strapped to a gurney. Elaina saw what she was looking at and walked over to the man that had multiple scars and burns with parts missing from his body; parts of his fingers, his right ear, and missing genitalia making Elaina look shocked at the sight of him. The man slowly looked at Elaina.)

??? (in pain): Mrs. Beckett. Why are you here?

Elaina: Do… I know you?

??? (in pain): It’s me. Dennis… Dennis Walt.

(Elaina was shocked when she heard the name, remembering it. She remembered he was one of Alvin’s closest coworkers and had met him when Alvin and Elaina became engaged several years prior.)

Elaina (shocked): Dennis?! Oh, God. What happened?

Dennis (in pain): Darson… He got me. Sliced me up… I’m in a lot of pain… You and Ms. Oaka need to get out of here…

Elaina: I can get you out of here! You can come with me.

Dennis (in pain): I can’t, Elaina… I can’t move at all. Arnold fucked up the feeling in my legs when he castrated me… So, promise me this, Elaina… Find Alvin… End this and get the hell out of here.

(Elaina nodded in response. Not a moment too soon, they began to hear crashing in the previous hallway Elaina and Reni were in. The three assumed it was Darson.)

Elaina (whispering): Was that the guy?

Darson (from a distance): MOTHERFUCKING BITCH! YOU KNEW WE WEREN’T FINISHED, AND YOU DECIDED TO LEAVE?! LOOKS LIKE I HAVE TO FIND YOU NOW, AMY!

(They begin to hear footsteps coming their way.)

Dennis: You two go and hide… He’s coming. Don’t worry about me… I’ve had enough time here… Now go, Elaina.

(Hearing his words, Reni decided to hide underneath a nearby bed while Elaina hid behind an opened door. A moment later, Arnold came into the room trying to find Squeak, but his sight was now set on Dennis; he walked up to him.)

Darson: Oh, wow. You’re still alive, Walt?

Dennis: It’s the pain that wakes me up… the pain you inflicted on me. Understand this… Karma will get you because you are close to your end… just like me.

Darson: How nice for you say, but I’d like to think karma’s about to come to you; due to what you, Alvin, and the others did to me. Because of you all, I wouldn’t be like this.

(Knowing he was going to die, Dennis chuckled at Darson and looked ready.)

Dennis: All part of the plan… Right, Arnold?

(Darson raised up a pair of sharpened scissors.)

Darson: That’s right, Dennis. All part of the plan.

(Darson impaled Dennis in the chest with the scissors; killing him instantly and left out of the room to go to another area. Elaina and Reni slowly got of their hiding spots. Elaina walked up to Dennis’ body and closed his eyes.)

Elaina (sad): May you rest now, Dennis. Arnold will get his comeuppance.

Alvin: Guaranteed.

(Elaina walked out of the room with Reni following her; going out the room to reach the stairs.)

Reni: You knew Dr. Walt?

Elaina: Yeah. He was a friend of Alvin and me. He was Evee’s godfather. I didn’t know he worked here. I guess Alvin got him the job here.

(As they walked, they were hearing footsteps coming closer, but they were able to reach the stairwell. Elaina started walking downstairs with Reni following her. They were able to reach the 12^th floor. When Elaina stepped on the last step, both women heard a click noise. In an instant, a rope latched on to Elaina’s ankle and pulls her up, hanging her upside down and in midair. Reni ran up to her.)

Reni: Shit! Elaina. Are you alright?

Elaina: I’m fine. I just need to get free. Don’t worry about me. Just get to the 8^th floor. I’ll be right behind you.

Reni: No fuckin’ way I’m leaving you here!

(After their conversation, Elaina saw Darson right behind Reni. Before Darson could even attack Reni with his scissors, she quickly turned and gave him a right hook to the face; making him stumble, drop his scissors, and fall on the stairs. Elaina was surprised at the sight; Reni then positioned herself in a fighting stance.)

Reni: Hurry and get yourself out the trap, Elaina. I’ll deal with him.

(Darson got up holding his jaw and picked up his scissors.)

Darson: Well, I didn’t know you’d be more of a problem than I thought. I might as well take every piece of you, Amy.

(Darson readied his scissors.)

Reni: Wrong girl, Arnold. You’re dealing with Reni.

(As Elaina was reaching for her gun from her holster, Reni dodged Darson’s swings and was making hooks and haymakers that hit him directly; making him dazed and now enraged. While enraged, Darson was able to strike Reni across her chest with his scissors leaving a mark and making her fall down a set of stairs, injuring her left arm. Elaina was able to take her gun out of the holster and shoot the rope; making her fall to the ground in front of Darson. With an opportunity, Darson stabbed Elaina in the back of her left shoulder; making her scream in pain. Darson took the scissors out. Reni was crawling up the stairs and reached Elaina who was face down and bleeding from her shoulder. Darson laughed gleefully at the sight.)

Darson: I guess today is my lucky day. You two make a great prize together. Think of the money you two will make me once I sell you off piece by piece.

(Elaina was groaning in pain and was trying to get up but she couldn’t due to the pain she was in from her shoulder. She called on her last resort.)

Elaina (in pain): Alvin… I… leave it to you…

(Alvin chuckled.)

Alvin/Dharkas: Your wish is granted.

(Before Darson was about to impale Elaina, a black mist formed around Elaina, then floated in midair, forming the figure of Alvin. Darson looked up at the figure seeing Alvin’s face; striking fear within him.)

Darson (fearful): Oh, fuck. Not good…

(Alvin snatched Darson up in the air and Darson began to scream. Alvin slammed him into a wall, slammed him into the railing, slammed him into the ceiling, and dropped him on the floor. Now injured; unable to move his legs and bloodied, Darson looked up at Elaina and Reni who were now back on their feet.)

Darson (weakly): You… you had Dharkas with you? And… Alvin bonded with it. I never knew that could happen… I guess Marvin shouldn’t have done what he did to him…

Elaina: Yeah… He shouldn’t have. But what goes around comes around. Right, Arnold?

Darson (weakly): That’s right… Elaina…

(Before Alvin could finish him off, Reni walked up the stairs to Darson while holding her left arm. She picked up Darson’s scissors and stood over him. She knelt close to him and raised the scissors with her right hand and began stabbing him multiple times in the chest. With the final blow, she impaled him in the heart. Blood came out of Darson’s mouth, and he succumbed to his wounds. Reni stood and looked up at the figure of Alvin and smiled.)

Reni: Thank you, Dr. Beckett.

(Alvin nodded his head and retreated within Elaina, healing her shoulder and ankle in the process. Elaina was able to stand and looked at Reni who had her eyes closed.)

Elaina: Ready to go?

(Reni opened her eyes; reverting to Squeak who looked distraught.)

Squeak (low): Yeah… Let’s go.

(Squeak walked downstairs to Elaina. Elaina put an arm over Squeak, and they walked downstairs to reach the 8^th floor.)
