After using several hand signs, he then pressed thumb and forefinger on my heart and abdomen. After a minute of silence, i felt a searing pain in my abdomen.
"His core is forming!" The old man let out a breath of shock. He laid me on the rough mattress at the feet of my mother. "Go get some honey and cold water." He was pointing at my older brother, who had a look of shock and disbelief plastered on his face.
As the strange sensation grew within me, my vision of the world became clearer than i ever thought possible. I could see various colors of wisps of light dancing through the room, each going along their own designated path, nothing being able to stop or affect their travel.
I could feel insurmountable strength filling my arms, legs, and abdomen. Reaching out, I could feel connections to some of the lights, yet others seemed distant or even not there entirely, even as i look at them. Focusing on the lights that felt familiar to me, i completely immersed myself in their sensation. After what felt like hours of complete comfort, a cold hand on my back brought me back to reality. Out of instinct I swatted at the hand; which was follows by a loud ZAP and a thump as my father fell to the floor unconcious.
"A natural deviant, that's just remarkable" The doc was ecstatic, looking at my with a glimmer of hope in his eye.
"Remarkable?! It should be impossible! He's cursed, likely to bring evil on us all! Look at him, if he's a deviant mage, where is the unique hair, or the deformity, or the bright eye? He has none of those, so how can he channel a deviant element?" My brother seems hellbent on making me seem like evil incarnate. Alas, only time will tell if that's true or not.
Embark on a Journey with a young man who's never felt power of his own. Join Drol as he strives to find the last of the dragon race, uncover hidden secrets, and build his strength to the top.
