Ark awoke in a strange place it was not his house or anyone he knew, but he felt at home. His left arm was wrapped in bandages and so was his forehead. He sat up to see Kade and Jade sitting in a few chairs at the side of the room, the ceiling and shelves of the room were covered inch by inch in empty bottles and weird herbs hanging to dry. He looked out a nearby window and saw the rushing waves of the ocean and cliffs in the distance. Then the door opened and Rin and the man walked in, still wearing the mask covering his face, except for his cyan colored hair poking through and shining in the light.
“Who are you?” Ark asked. The man said nothing and started to remove Ark’s bandages, and before Ark could ask again the sky was filled with a monstrous roar as the ground shook and trees whipped around. The wind blowing from the North was intense and some of the cliffs even broke off ramming into the ocean. Ark and his friends braced themselves as the gush of wind and the tremors shook the very Earth, and then almost as suddenly as it started the tremors and wind stopped. The mysterious person took off his mask to reveal a scarred face his cyan hair gleaned in the sunlight and looked over towards the source of the tremors and the wind and his face furrowed with worry and regret. “Well that’s bad.” He muttered and went back to removing Ark’s bandage on his arm.
“What was that? Who are you? How did I get here?” Ark asked so confused about everything that happened. The man looked at Ark.
“Ok so to begin I don’t know what that roar was or what the tremors and wind are from. My name Is Kaito Arius and I carried you here. There does that answer all your questions?” Kaito asked looking at Ark as he bundled up the bandages and threw them away.
“Uh, yeah. thanks … Kaito” Ark replied completely dumbfounded.
Kaito shrugged. “If your feeling up to it i’m making food in the other room.” He invited to Violet and Ark. Violet smiled and nodded her head.
“Yihan? Where are you?” She asked and her senior Naiad assistant appeared next to her.
“Right here, ma’an.” Yihan said as she placed a hand on her back.
“Good. Will you help me get to the kitchen?” She asked and Yihan did as she had asked. Rin smelled the air, sighing at the smell of her all-time favorite breakfast foods. “Who knew he can cook so well?”
“My question is, how does he make it smell like our favorite meals? Like I'm smelling moms homemade Jiggancash (pronounced jig-an-CAHSH) and i assume you’re smelling my custom Gahhad (Gah-HAD).” Yihan said, skeptical about this stranger. Ark got up from the bed and winced his arm wound although healed still hurt. He walked towards the room kaito had gone too and smelled something familiar but couldn’t put his finger on what it was. It was a smell that reminded him of old times and of a place of marble and gold, a woman’s voice, and then havoc: fire, death and a dark figure soaring over head. A bolt of lightning flew towards him then someone shook his shoulder. He turned around suddenly to see Kade grabbing his shoulder.
“Hey bro, you good?” Kade asked, worry showed in his eyes. Ark realized all the worry he must have caused his siblings and decided to give him a hug.
“Don’t worry kade I’m ok.” Ark reassured Kade. Rin smiled and opened her arms the opposite way that Ark was. Yihan quickly turned her so she was facing the right way. Rin nodded in acknowledgement to her before cracking a wide smile in the general direction Ark was in.
Ark smiled right back then walked fully into the room where the smells from all the different spices and herbs was almost overwhelming.
Kaito, cooking in the kitchen, seemed to be making 5 different meals all at once, each one smelling amazing and looking delicious.
“Take a seat at the table, I don’t usually have guests here, so eat up. We have a pretty big journey ahead of us.” Kaito invited everyone. Ark was too busy marvelling at his cooking talent as was Jade and Kade.
“Geez he has enough skill to battle Alec.” Ark muttered in amazement as Kaito flipped his pans sending the food in the air then back into the pan where it started sizzling beautifully. Then almost as soon as he had started Kaito emptied the pans. Rin gasped in amazement at the smell of the meals cooking.
“Incredible! How do you do this?!” She asked making her way over to the table with Yihan’s help. Yihan helped her sit down and made sure she could find all of her silverware and plate. [You trust this guy?] Rin asked by mind speaking to Ark. [Well, for one, food, and he did nurse both me and Jade back to health, so yeah] Kaito looked over and smiled.
“I was taught how to cook by my mom, and then by the mermaids, witches, and dragons. Plus there’s no need to be sceptical Rin and Ark.” Kaito smirked. Then Ark noticed that the scars on his face only surrounded his purple eye and the skin on each side was a different tan and the same tan as his left arm.
“HOLD UP! We never told you our names, so how do you know who we are?!” Rin asked, turning to where the sound of his voice came from. HE silvery kitsune ears helping her find him.
Kaito shook his head.” You haven’t realized yet? The prophecy? Wait, wait, wait. Please, don’t tell me you’ve never heard it?” Kaito asked. “Ok think about this, you should have at least been told who you needed to find right?”
Ark remembered the words from Gill just then. “Wait a second, you mean you're either the one who shouldn’t have fallen, the desecrated god, or the immortal ocean?” Ark asked. Kaito smiled
“Yes my full name is Kaito Doragon Arius.” Kaito responded. (Ocean Dragon Immortal is his name translated)
“First name means ocean, last name means immortal. A cool name.” Ark commented while stuffing his face full of one of Kaito’s dishes.
“Yep. You, Ark, are not only a half kitsune, half human, you have 3 souls inside you while also having the ability to have 13 tails. You, Violet, or should I say Rin, are also a half kitsune. Your father was an elf who lost his eyesight because of abnormal power being injected into himself. You also have 13 tails, but for being in this realm longer than your twin have all of your 13 tails. And not to mention you both have 2 more siblings and they’re twins who’ve been running around the multiverse for quite some time now.” Kaito explained. Ark, Rin, and Kade sat there open-mouthed jade was just plain confused.
“H-How do you know so much?! I-I don't understand! Are, are you a prophet?! How did you know my old name?! What is going on here?! Are we going mad?! So many questions, so few answers!” Rin said, holding her forehead, which was aching from the overload of confusing information.
“To start, I’m a demigod. Well, to be more precise, an angel. But, it’s more like an ex-angel, so I know my fair share of knowledge.” Kaito explained.
“Like, Fallen Angel ex-angel? Because we've had a bad runin with two.” Rin said with a shudder.
“No, not a fallen angel thankfully. And yeah, she was annoying even as a normal angel. I was an angel that was like a messenger, or sent out to do someone else’s dirty work more like. I ran from heaven and they’ve forsaken me in return.” Kaito answered. There were still some confused looks all around. “It means, I’ve just been forbidden from joining them again.” Kaito said somberly.
“Oh.” Ark said in return.
“No, no, don’t feel bad for me. I’m glad I ran away, but ever since then, Heaven’s gone quiet, and when I went over there a few months ago, no one was there. So, we have to go to an old village. This one in particular may seem familiar to both of you.” He said and then smirked. “Oh and these two can’t come with us, it’s to dangerous for them.” Kaito pointed at Jade and Kade.
“HEY! We’ll be fine on our own thank you very much!” Jade and Kade shouted in sync.
“KADE! JADE!” Ark shouted startling everyone. “Think about your family if you can survive here than you can help the townspeople survive too. Kade! Help mom evacuate she’s probably worried sick! Do the same with Mr. Heiro and Mrs. Nokaru, Jade, your parents need you!” Ark reasoned with them.
They nodded. “Now, go tell mom I’m ok and that I’ll come home soon, okay?” Ark told off Kade and Jade as they walked back across the beach towards the direction of their town. “Now then, we really should be going right?” Ark asked Kaito and Rin. Kaito looked at Rin and nodded.
“ Welp, I already packed all your things and yes don’t worry your Naiad brought clothes and a few weapons for you Rin. so let’s get going.” Kaito picked up his bag and stuffed a bunch of bottles in it including some bottles of water and rations.
“Alright ready?” He asked the two siblings. Rin nodded, going deep into the folds of her mind and her mind connection to Ark. She furrowed her brow in concentration as she sparked their connection once again. She let out a sudden gasp, being able to see with the help of Ark’s power surging through their connection.
“Yes, now I an ready. Now that I can see for the first time in ages. The world, it's even more amazing now than it was then.”
“True ok let’s go.” Kaito walked out the door with Ark and Rin close behind.
~Meanwhile~
Lily awoke with a start, after dreaming about her past life before becoming a fallen angel. The doctors surrounding her murmured quietly. Some took notes while others fondled with the machines that was keeping Lily alive. “Where…….. Where am I?! Just how on earth did i get here?!” She asked, sitting upright in her hospital cot.
“You fell from the sky, ma’an.” A small voice said through the thick of the crowd. Her eyes narrowed and found that it was young girl, possibly no older than 10 years and wearing what seemed to be the outfits that the apprentices wear.
“Oh, right, I did. That kitsune did this to me.” Lily realised with a jolt, but instead of anger she felt……. Conflicted? Why am I like this?! WHy don't i hate him anymore?! She thought as she looked around. Just then, a much taller female doctor walked in and the sea of apprentices dissipated for him to pass through to Lily.
“Hello, miss. My name is Dr. Winter, but you may call me Parker, if you wish. I see you are now fully conscious after….. Three days of being in a coma! Wow…”
“WAIT WHAT?! WHERE IS KING COLE?!” Lily asked, now frightened for the fate of her king.
“Relaxe, the stress won’t do your body any good. Besides, you are safe, you are in the village of Kaen Sato. There is nothing to fear here. Our Alpha has everything under control.”
“Alpha….? What?!”
“Why, Alpha Parker Winter, of course!”
“Winter?!As in your last name?!”
“Precisely. Now, for what i came here to do. Check your vitals and release you!”
~Time skip an hour~
Lily walked out of the giant healers building and into the heart of the city. She sighed, grabbing her broadsword and armor from the armory with the ticket Parker had provided her. Apparently she was the Alpha along with head healer, so she gets the pases frequently for visiting warriors who needed care. She had also taken her to the dye shop and got gave her a free hair trim and dye. Her hair was now the colors of a the sunsets and sunrises back from her homeland. She had shown the hair stylist a picture and performed the task to a the greatest extent. She sighed once more, feeling like an outcast, since she was both wolfic and an angelic hybrid. She tucked in her wings as much as she could and her ears hung back in sadness. She wrapped her arms tighter around her body as her leather jacket swayed in the light wind. All of the sudden, her ears perked up at the distant sound of a battle beginning in the thick of the jungle.
Ark shouted as the naga struck his shoulder. It’s fangs piercing flesh and it’s venom pouring into his veins. He struck the snake-person with his claws shrouded in light and slicing it’s head clean off. The other two naga looked at Ark cautiously. Rin and Kaito were also surrounded by 10 naga, but they were holding their own against them. One of them decided to strike shooting towards Ark at an inhuman speed. Ark tried jumped backwards but the venom had started to paralyze him so the creature drew closer with it’s companion when suddenly Lilith burst out of the trees and much to his surprise attacked the naga, taking it down with a single slice from her blade. 4 of the naga from Rin’s and Kaito’s group slithered over to attack the new enemy along with the poisoned Ark who was moving slower with each passing second. Lilith shouted with guttural rage as her blade shimmered a bright black color. She threw some shuriken type weapons at the ones closing in on Kaito and Rin. They stuck into the nagas’ backs and made them implode with a special type of explosive venom to counter their own. She used her glowing blade to slice down the remaining naga without even breaking a sweat.
“We need to go. NOW! She said, grabbing Ark by the arm and ushering the others to follow. “Come on, I have some pulls in the village. They will close the barrier with or without us, so unless you wanna be naga food, move your sorry ass’s NOW!” Rin nodded and grabbed Kaito by the hand and dragged him along with Lily and Ark. He had been splattered with naga and was now in a state shock. She dashed, still using the ever-fading Ark to see where she was traversing. Even as Ark was going into a deeper and deeper state of paralysis, her vision continued to stay strong throughout this hardship. Once they made it to the borders of the village, the forcefield closed and they all collapsed in a heap of bodies.
“Healer! We need a healer, again!” Lilith shouted with Rin helping her. More naga were itching to get in, but they couldn't surpass the barrier created by the large village. Together, the voices or Rin and Lily rang throughout the quaint town, all the way to the Healers House in the center of town. Parker dashed as fast as she could to the aid of her newfound friend.
“Oh no, they need urgent care.” She said and concentrated before teleporting the group to an empty area in the Healers House. She set Ark and Kaito up in healing cots and began to work her magic. Golden beems caused her hands to glow as she focused on driving the energy from herself and pushing it into the two injured males. She brought her hands down and the males shivered and rose into the air. The golden light brightened tremendously before dying down. The males were set back down onto their beds, their eyes now closed and their chests rising and falling as they were in a deep sleep. “There. They should be better now, but you must let them rest for now. If you two would please sit outside in the waiting room, they should wake up within the next half hour.” Parker said, ushering the two females outside of the room and closing the curtain behind them.
