I asked Sara Bardi to draw Estrella, Lord Valencia’s live-in servant that he received through a contract with the Church of Starry Wisdom.
I was initially introduced to Malakia’s work through her Lovecraft pieces, and since Estrella is the most Lovecraftian character in DATBC (I mean, she’s half Lovecraft alien monster) I thought I’d request her.

It never fails, whenever I draw Valencia I somehow end up listening to the fantastic German musical "Tanz der Vampire". That musical inspired so much about him, down to him draping his hair over his collar.

Progress is slow because I'm working on another short story for submission, but progress is happening! Looks like, as of right now, DATBC will be ten chapters long.
Well, that took longer than I'd thought. Abrupt scene change, too, but... well, I'd rather have a bumpy transition than stare at my screen for another month trying to figure out how to proceed. Apologies, everyone!
