I am a freelance character artist and writer. Since as long as I can remember, I’ve been creating stories and drawing for them. I’ve always been drawn to dark, realistic fantasies where good and evil are not clearly distinguishable.
I have been working on Being a Monster series since 2006 - dark, psychological urban fantasy novels with a raw, explicit style. In my works I focus on morally grey characters – fantasy creatures with weird biology – and express how they live, what kind of problems, struggles they have in the everyday life and inside their soul, what was their past, what kind of traumas, cultures affected on their personalities and how they try to live with them, what coping strategies they use.
For me, these are really interesting topics, and I like the challenge of bringing different characters to life, diving into their depth and expressing them in a way that is true to themselves.
