Just to let you know the Space Pack/ Hawk and Flo Adventures crossover has started. The two of them are going to team up to fight Werewolves! I hope you enjoy ^^. Here's a panel from the comic! If you'd like to dive straight into the crossover here's a link :)
Some of you have asked me privately about future project and how far I'm into them and I promised to get back to you, so I'm posting this here, just in case if someone else comes along.
#1) I'll be posting a bunch of exclusive stuff on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/bralestudios). There's only one tier and it's the lowest price tag so it could be more accessible.
#2) There's also the newsletter (https://bralestudios.substack.com/welcome) . This one is completely free, only downside will be me spamming your inbox and it won't have all of the WIP pages and art you'd get on Patreon.
#3) You can hop into my Discord server (https://discordapp.com/invite/Yq4CXc3). That way we can chat more freely and you'd be notified about my Twitch streams, during which the magic happens.
#4) Lastly, there are a bunch of social media pages and profiles, either on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or whatever, all under @BraleStudios.
The next blog post will be the announcement of my upcoming title, but that one is gonna take a while because it's coming out in late 2022.
tl;dr: IBRAHIM COYLE ends in 5 weeks with episode 200. Thanks for reading!
longer ver: Haven't done an update message in a while, so I hope I turned on the notification bell properly.
The series is ending on Coyle's sixth birthday, June 22nd.
I feel that the comic underperformed and so have I. The original idea was to upload everything I had up to this point and see if I would manage to crack somewhere around 100 subs, which would allow me to continue drawing and writing future stories. No such case, unfortunately. There were plans for about 4 more books, each a different genre from the last one and the third one was already written and ready to go. Then again, it's not all too bad having two full books with close to 400 pages behind when you call it quits. Not to mention the fanart from other peers, something I still can't believe happened.
I'm gonna be optimistic and call this a hiatus rather than an ending. Don't worry either way, it's not like it is an unplanned, abrupt or a cliffhanger ending. Each book is envisioned as a stand alone story, so I stuck the landing on this one the way I wanted and will give *some* kind of closure.
I would like to thank Nikola and Ivan for supporting me every step of the way and a huge thanks to you guys who were following and commenting this whole time.
I'm not done with comics yet. Even though PAVID-19 was a one-shot and COUNTDOWN is an old work put on a hiatus, I do have some new original concepts in my drawer. I hope you'll get to follow some of my future work, as I continue to follow yours. In the meantime, enjoy the final five episodes of IBRAHIM COYLE: THE GOLDEN ROAD!
All the best and all the thanks',
Filip
@BraleStudios on all social media for regular updates and by "regular" I mean "highly irregular" and by "updates" I mean "shitposts."
It's really a shame this comic didn't get more than 100 subs. The art and story are just fantastic. Coyle is unique, stylistic, and drawn so well! It's been a great joy ride.
I hope you do get a chance to continue it down the (gold) road. If you do, I'll definitely pick it back up.
Did you say if there were hard copies available? (In English, I would buy in another language, but my country dropped the ball on us learning a second language, as did I myself).
We're finally getting resettled and I'd totally buy a hard copy (if not, that's cool. No pressure).
I intend to get my bum over to some of your other comics. You know me, I'm just slow as heck XD
I'm sad to hear Coyle is finishing! It's really been a journey. But I'm happy that you'll still continue on! Looking forward to what exciting comics you have in store for us. :D
@snowylocks
Thank you for the support! Everything is gonna stay online (Tapas, Webtoons and Comic Fury) and even if something would happen to all 3 platforms I'll upload the comic on my personal website.
@Blue Dragon
Thank you for the kind words and support across all platforms! There's only a few hard copies available, but only for BOOK ONE and it's in Serbian, plus international shipping is a huge hassle for both sides (it's overpriced, it can get lost easily, etc.). If the title was successful I would've gone the crowdfunding route at some point, albeit with the smallest limited print run possible. I do plan on making some fanzine friendly print ready files available, so everyone with a printer can have their own official unofficial release.
@Ivan Skilling
Thank you! Hope you'll enjoy some of the future titles. There are plans for both longer and shorter runs, so it's all gonna come down to my own time management.
Again, huge thanks to all of you for taking the time to respond to the update. It really means a lot! I know I haven't been gracious with my own comment/like ratio on your own work but that doesn't mean I'm not reading it and loving it. I usually have to read it twice, so expect at some point a barrage of likes and comments from me. I would also like to say things like "keep doing it" and "don't give up", but that would be just hypocritical, so I'll just say "keep having fun" and "stay healthy!"
Ah, okay, totally that's understandable! I just couldn't remember if I'd asked before (there are a couple International comics I buy...I may just go ahead and make a purchase from Comixology...I hate Amazon, but I still want to support people who do good work, so sometimes I "bite the bullet." XD)
Oh, please don't! I use Comixology as a separate platform like I do with Webtoons and Comic Fury, so I could spread the word around. No one is buying it there either way and I won't see any profit until it's over $100, not including the commission fees, etc. To me it's more than helpful that you guys are honestly reading it and enjoying it, rather than anything else.
As soon as I make the fanzine edition I will post a public update here, similar to this one.
I'm working on a 3D rig for Ibrahim Coyle for a brief cameo on my webcomic. Here's my current work on the rig. The rig tends to look stupid in default pose (arms spread wide, mouth agape). In the comic, he'll be at a cafe counter arguing with a policeman.
Ibrahim Coyle is hitting its five year milestone this summer and, to celebrate it, I'm issuing an open call for all artists who are interested in joining our digital pin-up gallery, by sending their own renditions of the main character. The gallery will be published in the 20th issue on Comixology and later, periodically, on social media, as well as on Webtoons and Tapas.
The gig is not payed, but I can always draw something for you in return.
When sending your work (in 300dpi) you can include:
- Your short bio in English.
- Your photo or auto-portrait.
- Links to your website, portfolio and social media.
(You can disclose in your e-mail what would or wouldn’t you like to be published alongside your work.)
Send your work over at bralestudios@gmail.com
The deadline is on May 20, 2020.
