Aaand the art update is up! The changes are basically cosmetic, no plot alterations or anything like that. But the costumes now match the upcoming feast scenes, and the new and improved lighting hopefully allows you to see the scene a little better.
Oh, and I think I finally got Oberic to look like, well, Oberic. I don’t think ANY other character gave me as much grief as this one :D
The actual feast, meanwhile, is now officially in production and will start on August 19th.
July progress update! I’m ALMOST ready to start “filming”.
All 63 characters are done (twice over - I made a major technical mistake early on and then had to correct it for everyone except the main cast).
The location is 99% done (I’m still worldbuilding the elven heraldry for the dyv banner, and also doing final fixes to lighting).
I’m hoping to start on the actual production at some point this weekend or next week.
The webcomic will resume once I have 4 pages of buffer, so depending on how things go – on either the 5th or 12th August. 19th at the latest, but barring sudden illness or natural disasters I don’t think it’ll come to that.
Oh, and at some point this or next week, there’s going to be a bit of an art update to some of the already-published pages. But I’ll post about that separately :)
The good news is, I finished the location back in May, AND I just finished all 58 characters I thought I needed for the feast scene.
The bad news is, these 58 characters for some reason didn’t include the musicians. Which are kinda really plot-relevant. I also forgot to make space for them in the feast hall.
So: we’re currently four characters, three musical instruments (the tambourine already exists), and one location update away from continuing the story.
I’m still very much hoping to start publishing again in July, though. Possibly towards the end of July rather than the middle of it. But July.
The feast chamber is progressing nicely despite me having missed the previous bi-weekly update. Very sorry about that, the whole eclipse thing kinda threw me off all schedules.
That being said, here's a progress sneak peek.
Also, I've started doing process timlapses over on YouTube, you can check those out too if you like :)

New location in progress! I've spent the last few weeks finalizing the history of the town of Shelisk, as well as figuring out how Bereghin feasts even work. Glad to report that we now have a floor plan, a seating plan, a decor plan, a menu, and a system of etiquette (details available on the website). Next step is actually creating the Table Hall. Or at least the Feast Chamber, anyway :)
So, At War’s Edge will be restarting on Aug 21st rather than August 14th, because something relatively major did in fact come up. It turned out that — who would’ve thought — getting to a ball in late winter requires some winter clothing. And preferably not the kind of winter clothing you wear when crossing mountains, either.
So, over the past week I’ve been working on fancy cloaks, hats, and the town hall entryway. I finished with that last night, but it did put me several days behind schedule.
We are very definitely in production now, however. And the official restart date is August 21st!
Can't believe I'm saying this, but the preproduction for the ballroom scene is… basically done? Including even the statues in the hallway🎉
I expect there will be some minor details to fix during production, but if nothing goes majorly wrong, I'm aiming to restart "At War's Edge" on August 14th!
Hello jasne. I am a new writer starting my first work on this forum. If you like to read and are not opposed to sensual content,
I invite you to check out my novel:

Hope you have a good day😊
Time for the mid-July art update :)
The ballroom is pretty much done - I just need to add some food and drinks to the tables. So, this week I'm planning to focus on the aforementioned food and the hallway statues, 7 out of which are still missing. If all goes well, next week I'll be able to start rendering the actual webcomic panels!
