I've been rereading the draft yet again to summarize chapters, and keep track of major events, the time of day, and what the characters are feeling and doing. I'm logging everything in a spreadsheet, and noting potential revisions and ideas that way so I have an easier time scrolling through many summarized chapters at once instead of navigating through a ton of pages and trying to remember what chapter I'm in and what happens in each one.
I think once all the rereading is done, I'll have a better bird's-eye view of how the story is currently structured, and make changes from there.
Er, once again, I did not do anything for this WIP. To those of you who are awaiting something from me, I am sorry that I am keeping you waiting.
Same as my last post, this is something I'd like to finish because I think it'll be worth it in the end. I really don't want to kill off projects that are relatively close to being finished. And I like the general story so far, so I really don't want to give up on it.
I honestly did nothing with the WIP. I want to finish it, but it feels overwhelming - research, getting the characters and facts right, rearranging and/or rewriting parts, filling in (and catching) plot holes, knowing the general timeline of the story, etc. and it makes me not want to work on it.
Again, I do want to finish this. I feel that it's worth it.
Holy cannoli, we're almost done with a third of the year!
I haven't done much. In March, I researched a little more on relevant topics and then became occupied with life. Nothing terrible, just time-consuming. We will see how much I get done by the next post.
Hey all! Wow, we're almost 1/6ths done with this year. o_o
Continuing on with research. I unveiled possible big changes or considerations in character's roles, how they react to certain things, and plot points. Also making sure that what I've drafted so far is accurate or if it needs further revisions. There are a few more topics I want to research and then I need to tackle all the possible questions, plot holes, inconsistencies, pacing/events within the current draft, while considering how I'd incorporate some of the possible big changes.
Still revising. I finally organized characters and settings notes into one place. Now I'm focusing on plot (development and holes) and more character stuff (history, details, and timelines - stuff like when characters met each other, major events that happened in each character's life, character relationships). I'm also researching some concepts I want to get right to fit the setting and characters. It's kind of hard but I want to push through and finish this.
Hey everyone! I've been compiling my notes for characters and story/plot questions/answers into one place instead of scattered about. There's still research to do regarding characters and their backgrounds, and major revisions and decisions to make. I hope I can get through this and sort out all kinds of things.
i organized a bunch of old notes, ideas, and character charts, and created a fresh copy of the draft for the next revision. currently going through and adding those notes in, and checking questions, events, and character facts. once i get those done, i'll be reading through again, commenting, and making more changes in the draft.

Hey all. I really haven't done anything for this update. My priorities have been quite disorganized and I keep procrastinating on things.
I did finish the revision for the upcoming story in early May, but haven't done much with it since then. I also worked on drafts of a couple visual novels. I hope to regain the discipline it takes to follow through on these.
