I'm going to start posting my sci-fi series on Tapas in a few months. Since I wrote it in 2007, I've slightly updated the original text.
This version will be called Mask of Ashes and includes books 1 through 3 of the original Natan Fleet Show. I will also post the other planned books under the same series title on Tapas, so you don't have to look elsewhere for the next installment. One Sub and Done!
You can still read the original versions on Amazon. Book 4 is also available as a Collection on my Patreon if you want to read it ~Right Now~.
However, this new version will:
* clean up grammar and punctuation
* clean up some awkward plot bits
* remove extraneous exposition/descriptions
Of course, I will include that removed extra information about my aliens in the Description/Author Note section. I put a lot of effort into creating the world and do want to share it. However, worldbuilding is like an iceberg. Including all that background information just creates a glacier that moves slowly and squashes mountains, not a graceful beauty that sinks ships when you least expect it.
NOTE: I will not stick to my original YA reading level. Graphic chapters will be marked, of course. However, there will be harsh language. (Not as bad as Reed Owen. He didn't have a mother to wash his mouth with Dial soap, so he doesn't know better.)
I'm redoing this how I wanted to have it in the first place. The limitations of printing forced me to cut book 1 in half, which ended up leaving a weak plot in both.
So, settle in for a very long haul.
Also, if you enjoy my writing and feel like supporting me, you can:
* Donate ink
* Share my stories with your friends
* Buy the books on Amazon/Patreon
* Subscribe to my Patreon (there's a $1/month tier that gives you access to everything I post. The link is in my bio.)
To everyone who voted for me in the Tapas AF Tourney, I'd like to thank you. While I didn't make it to the top 25, I'll be continuing Soulless Prince as planned.
Hello everyone!
The Tapas AF Tourney is soon closing the Reader Voting Period. If you've not voted yet, please vote for Soulless Prince. Each Tapas account only gets to vote once, but you can pick up to three different stories. Or choose the same story three times.
Thank you all so much for reading Soulles Prince. I hope I've impressed you enough to make you want to vote for me. <3
Only 3 chapters left before I have to "Hands off, ya done!" Soulless Prince. They're already written and loaded to post Friday 10/18, and Monday/Tues next week.
If you haven't already done so, please like the chapters and comment. I respond to all comments.
Thank you all so much for supporting me this far. I hope you'll vote for me when the elimination rounds start.
okay... so.
In Mythiric, specifically Durshand, they have months and weeks. But each day has it's OWN NAME. not March 1, 2017.
No. It's Planters, 2017. because everyone knows Planters is in the third month, they don't bother mentioning that part.
Absolutely awful to try to remember if you didn't grow up there. Sucks, really, because there's like 365 days or something. At least each month is 28 days long. That part makes sense.
As an isekai, Reed knows his birthday. He counted days from the winter solstice. Because Durrish new year is mid Spring, so counting from the solstice seemed a closer approximation. He only keeps track of it because his birthday is unlucky. Bad things happen to him and those around him that day, so he always gives himself that day off and hides (aka drinks. though that's not much different from any normal day for him).
Next week starts the mad dash to chapter 30! I've got one more regular update this Friday, then one a day between Oct 14-23.
The flood is coming! Catch up now!
