Howdy! Thanks for supporting me with ink a while back ago. Although I'm not eligible to do anything with it right now (lmao), it's a thoughtful gesture. Be well!
Hello...I'm still around; trying to keep my parts in working order and so far I'm good. Still got plans to get back to work on Ray Thunder this year, just trying to get some stuff out of the way.
That being said, I ask of you followers that are still around a favor: spread the word of my webcomic to those that you think might be interested. Also, if you have any ink to give, that would help as well...things are a little tough right now and I'm trying to stay afloat until I can get certain issues taken care of. For the most part, I'm okay but at times things twist & turn and once I'm done paying off bills, kinda leaves my pockets looking like rabbit ears; I'm about $8-9 away from an ink donation withdrawal, so that would be really nice if I could reach that goal.
If you want to see some of the work I've been doing, check out my Patreon for my free posts, my WIP posts on my Instagram, my Tumblr(I've gotten back to that place since December), and I'm now on BlueSky(shanny8@bsky.social).
I've been lessening my presence on the former Twitter(now known as X) because in addition to making it harder for smaller creators to post & grow there, I'm now being swallowed up by spammy ads...the place has become a former shell of its once glory, and I feel like once I've strengthened my roots elsewhere, I may delete that account.
To those that are still around- thanks for keeping up and putting up with me; I'm trying to get back because I want to see my little thunder demi-god story through to its end.
I'm still here- currently trying to keep in art shape by drawing various standalone pieces...also still been adding to my art workspace; my plant has arrived- although I think they put TWO PLANTS(also, the plant(s) are a little larger than I thought) into one pot, so I'm shopping for 2 larger pots so that I can re-pot them and give them a little more room to grow.
Found an art palette & brush neon/LED light for a VERY affordable price that I ordered for the lower area underneath the bottom shelf(the wall area right above my drawing tablet)...
Also FINALLY completed my Shield Hero nendoroid trio- had originally gotten Filo back in 2019 and planned to get Naofumi & Raphtalia- but nendoroid prices were still kind of high back then(paid $80 for Filo back then); fast forward- around last year at Christmas I looked at the prices again and they dropped by $30; I bought Naofumi in late January, and just got Raphtalia in a couple of days ago...I still need to get the nendoroid stands, but other than that and a couple more moves- my art workspace is next to complete!
I think once things with the [art] station are complete by the start of summer my only 2 tasks at hand will be 1) to start trying to build my site AND 2) get back to working on Ray Thunder!
Happy New Year! Still around in 2024...hope you all had a good holiday & were able to make into the new year well..!
This year's plans: get back to work on Ray Thunder as soon as I can- trying to take care of some financial issues currently, but as soon as a lot of that is in the rearview I will start to focus on creating the webcomic again...the only thing is I'm not going to publish pages until I have most of the chapter done; I dont want to run into the whole former issue I had a stressing & rushing to drop pages within the same week(which led to my injuries and burnout).
Second is to try and get my own site going...outside of a few select places no one has heard of my webcomic- which is also due to I haven't been promoting as much as I need to AND I haven't been working on it to promote as much as I need to...that has to change.
I'm at the place where I've upgraded the necessary tech/tools I need to create the comic, now I just need to curate my time, make a schedule, & start making my plans happen.
Apologies...I've been around, but been busy at the same time; finished the main part of sprucing up the art station, but looking into getting a plant & an aroma pot...also thinking of adding a few more smaller pieces of commissioned art or prints from other artists that I like.
REALLY digging the LED lighting display that I've put up; just gotta populate my shelves and my art area should be complete!
It's been a minute, but I'm around...just been trying to spruce up my art station, as well as finish with a paid logo & flyer design gig. Going to try to sit down this fall winter and start working on putting together my own site- Ray Thunder will still be here at Tapas once I get back started on it, but I do want my own site to host other projects that I wont drop anywhere else.
I will be at Awesome Con this weekend June 16-18 at table A03(finally was able to blow up the map and edit)! If you're attending this function, and you like my art- check me out!
