Hey guys, as I’m sure most of you know, I have been diligently working on the third volume of No More Mermaids. My goal was to get it printed by October 14th (for the Philly Comix Expo) while having a formal release sometime in November. That’s not happening anymore. Friday afternoon I got an email from the printer I use saying they will no longer produce copies of No More Mermaids. The reason being is that the sexual content in my comic goes against their Membership Agreement. My uploaded files were immediately deleted and I was warned if I tried to print my comic with them again, my account would be banned.
Just to clarify, I’ve been using them since 2019 and they have printed literally hundreds of copies of my comics. Their customer service reps have been aware of the sexual content since I’ve discussed print issues with them multiple times in the past. I also made sure my comic was printed privately and not accessible through their website. The company’s name doesn’t even appear on the printed product. I’m confused as to why there’s suddenly an issue and why their response was so drastic.
So as of right now, no idea when volume three will be out. My next event is the Philly Comix Expo, where I’ll be selling my remaining copies of volumes one and two. Once they’re gone, that’s it… for a while anyway. I’m not giving up, just know that the availability of No More Mermaids is very limited. I also don’t know if I have the energy or patience to continue putting chapters online at the moment. I’m hoping all of this is a blessing in disguise. I did kinda-sorta always hate the printer I was using and I wasn’t a fan of the format they used. Here’s hoping I find a better company that will print my comic in a more manga-styled format, who are easier to work with and more affordable.
I am really looking forward to reading your story. Please don't judge my art too harshly and just feel the vibe of gratitude and happiness behind it :D
Hello Retrosofa. I am a new writer starting my first work on this forum. If you like to read and are not opposed to sensual content,
I invite you to check out my novel:

Hope you have a good day😊
No More Mermaids was recently taken down due to explicit sexual content, which goes against Tapas' community guidelines. I've spent the last few days communicating with the Moderator Team and editing all of the existing chapters to comply with their standards. While I appreciate Tapas for hosting my comic, I'm very upset at how much I had to censor in order for them to deem "appropriate." I can understand having to censor the explicit sexual acts but having to cover up nude butts (see below) and pubic hair feels so excessive. Makes you wonder why they even have a "mature" section to begin with.
If you guys want to read the uncensored version you'll have to buy print copies through Partnersandson.com. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll continue uploading new chapters on here. I'll decide sometime later this year.
Ever thought about using Comicfury, Itchio, or Gumroad? Even Google Play books allows adult content and PDFs are an amazing way to preserve your content and reach new folks. Just a thought! It's worked wonders for me so far!
