If any of you are interested in NFTs, I'm now pretty active in that space. I'm making tutorials on NFT generation on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/jrejoire
I'm also developing a 2D game that will use those NFTs as playable characters. I'll soon start some devlogs about that process.
Who knows, I might come back to comics in the future to share more about the back story but that's not in the works for now.
Just for the fun of it, here is one of my latest illustrations.
I wanted to take the time to present my latest project, Inkito, a story hosting platform powered by the Hive blockchain!
Before getting too much into the details, let me tell you a bit about my journey these past few years.
4 years ago, I discovered Hive (formerly Steemit), a blogging site powered by the blockchain which generates rewards to creators. I met amazing artists, had wonderful feedback and great success. This has been a life changing experience for me and I wish other struggling content creator out there could enjoy the same journey.
As I reached the final pages of Shades Of Men, I knew I wanted to give back, and share the experience I had. The current decentralized apps were not really tailored to series and as a result the reading experience wasn't the best, so with my knowledge of web development I made a simple platform to share and read stories on the Hive blockchain.
Inkito was born!
The advantages:
- You get rewards for your content.
- The site is censorship resistant as the network is decentralized.
- You are sure to reach the front page, as new stories are mixed with trendy ones by default.
The cons:
- Your content is share in the public nodes of the blockchain which makes it visible to everyone, however once posted your content is impossible to delete. (You can send new broadcast to modify it though.)
- There is no password retrieval system.
The site is still in Alpha phase, but I'd love to have your feedback on it (https://inkito.io). Of course, content is welcome and can already earn crypto currency in proportion to the number of "likes" one receives.
Remember this secret project I was working on this summer...
Well it's finally out. My part of the anthology has started. Check out the very first page and let me know what you think! https://wanderingstrangercomic.wordpress.com/comic/ghoul-red-01-cover/
Of course there has been 4 stories already. For the story to make sense I'd recommend to check them out too.
Hope you enjoy this special story called "Tales of the Wandering Stanger".
Still working hard on Shades Of Men's next page.
Hope that helps you wait a little. ;-)
Oh so cool! Thanks for sharing this. You do such amazing art! I need to take the time to dive deep into your story. Thanks again for all your lovely comments on my comic. It's nice to support each other!
Now I know being French doesn't mean you'll be going to the French part of Canada but if you happen to be in Quebec I'm actually about 4 hours away from Montreal.
Hey there! Little update on what I'm up to. I just finished this short story for the anthology project I've been working on. We haven't released the whole thing yet but here's the cover I made.
Sorry to keep you waiting on Shades Of Men. I'm back at it full blast from now on. A good way to celebrate the 5 year anniversary!
Thanks a lot Joanne. I'll you know when we officially release it all. I'm pretty happy with the result. I colored it a little differently than Shades Of Men. ;-)
Hello guys, A quick update on what I've been up to. I'm working on a short side project featuring a bunch of ghoul busting SWAT members. Here's a little character sheet.
The final project might not in full color due to the lack of time. I do have to finish it by the end of the month, so it'll be hard for me to post another Shades Of Men pages by then.
Sorry to keep you waiting. Hope this short story makes up for it. I'll let you guys know when it's officially released!
Hey thanks. It's a great opportunity. Unfortunately it's eating up my time on Shades Of Men. I can't be everywhere at once, can I? How's Project Survival going... Is the key feature on the app treating you well?
i definitely understand, it's so much work to do two projects at once! take care of yourself - it's so easy to become overwhelmed! Things are good with Project Survival, I took some time off last year to refocus and now things are going strong! :)
