I’m Bramble. I make stories about cute animal guys falling in love. I hope you enjoy my comics, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I promise I don't bite unless you're an acorn.

Heya everybody, it's been a few months since I last posted an update here. No need to worry, I'm actually doing really great! I've been really productive drawing all sorts of art and even learning a little bit of animation. A lot of this has been in service of providing content for the retro gaming channel I started over on Twitch this summer. Yes, I'm still a purple squirrel over there haha, the power of Vtuber tech is pretty amazing.
Stepping back from making Cup and Quill and shifting my creative focus over to live-streaming has been really great for my mental health and overall stress level. I've made so many great and supportive friends. It's been very fulfilling combining several things I'm passionate about (art, gaming, tech, the furry fandom) into one amazing pursuit.
So that's all to say that, I'm not sure when or even if I will be working on Cup and Quill again. I have one unpublished episode sitting in my computer that I will try to get around to publishing before the end of the year. I started my career as an artist with Cup and Quill as my very first project. It taught me a lot about not only art, but myself and what I'm capable of. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my journey as a creator. Your generosity and positivity is always pushing me forward.
You haven't seen the last of me! I'm still out here in cyberspace throwing my scribbles into the cosmos. The future is infinite and I can't wait to see what comes next!
If you want to keep up with me and all the stuff I'm doing the best place to find me is over on Twitter where I post art, random squirrel thoughts and updates on what I'm working on just about every single day.

If you want to swing by to hang out with me while I goof around playing old school Nintendo games a few days a week you can find me over in my secret tree house on Twitch.
I'm really glad to hear that you're doing so well, Bramble! While I'm sad to know that Cup and Quill is mostly over, it's a great thing that you've found hobbies that are so fulfilling. Take care of yourself and see you around!
Hm haven't heard from you for a while but I (we) get it-- comic may not be your focus. But I (we) hope you'll still be here as a reader & leave comments anytime~ Take care!
Hey there, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm just taking a moment to make an announcement. Cup and Quill will be going on hiatus until September 2021. I've been out of buffer for a while now and in order to preserve my sanity I'm going to be taking some time to work on doing a few things for the comic.
Here's a list of some of what I will be working on during this break.
- New cover and banner art for the comic
- Catching the Spanish language edition of the comic up to the English one
- Completing the full script for the series
- Finalizing character designs for everyone in the series (you have no doubt noticed that a few characters have received gradual updates over time, I'm taking the opportunity to go ahead and give everyone a refresh with full character reference sheets)
- Rebuilding my buffer of episodes so that I can schedule them in advance. This is key to me not burning out.
Don't worry I'm going to keep making this series. I've fallen in love with all the characters and I'm dedicated to the story. I'm just also dedicated to not losing my mind scrambling to finish the episode by the deadline each Sunday. I hope you have an awesome Summer (Or winter) and I'll see you again in September.
If you want to keep up with my art and any sneak peeks I publish for this series you can find all my content through this link:
I totally understand and respect your decision! (I'm in the same boat.) Take your time, and do what's best for your health and for the comic. I look forward to what you'll have for us in September!
Wow its the 1 year anniversary for when I started making Cup and Quill. I've learned and grown so much as a creator over the past year. Its honestly pretty amazing.
To celebrate and thank my readers I'm hosting a raffle for 3 cameo spots in a future episode of the comic! I'll be announcing the winners on June 1st.
This raffle is going to be run through my Twitter account.
The rules are simple:

2. Like and retweet the post pinned at the top of my page
3. Comment your favorite moment from Cup and Quill
4. Drop a reference for your furry (anthropomorphic animal) character in the comments section of the Twitter post.
Hey everybody, I feel bad about this. I've never missed a deadline on Cup and Quill. But, I'm going to have to postpone the next episode till May 15th. This is happening for a couple reasons. The first being that I have just been insanely busy and productive from a creative standpoint this month. I made 19 pieces of fully colored and shaded art, published 2 comic updates, worked on the Spanish edition of Cup and Quill and also wrote 15,000 words for the visual novel team I'm part of now, I also started teaching myself to create animations. So maybe one day there will be some animatics or mini animated episodes for this comic...
The second reason is that this next episode is pretty pivotal to the story and as a result I realize it will have to be a lot longer. Usually an episode of Cup and Quill is about 6 panels, this one will likely be about 15. This next update is really emotionally complex and will resolve several plot lines while also setting up events for the next 20 or so episodes at least. I'm not happy about it, trust me. But in order to preserve the current level of art quality and to do my story justice I don't have any choice here. I refuse to cut corners in the name of speeding things up. I wish I had more time or could work faster, but at least for now, I'm not there yet.
So, I'm sorry. Please bear with me. I promise I will make the wait worth it. This next episode is a major turning point in the plot for several characters and because of that I really need extra time to do it justice.
Thanks for all of your support. Starting my career as an artist this past year has been a wild ride. And I couldn't do it without all of you cheering me on.
It's very natural for creative people (like you & us) with multiple projects at hand even if that could slow down the works. I do applaud you don't want to skim on the quality just to make it in your schedules.
Remember one thing that if you start feeling the uneasy pressure (that you feel like you're juggling, that you need to catch a break) that's the cue that you might be going TOO FAST. Really don't be sorry about the posponement, it's fine~
Hey this is totally understandable! I'm seriously impressed by all of the work you've been doing, and I'm sure the wait will be worth it. Hang in there, and we'll be here when its time for the episode to release!
Thank you to everyone for supporting my dreams as an artist. You are all amazing. To celebrate hitting 100 subscribers on Cup and Quill I’m releasing Ember’s playlist early for everyone!
Thank you! So far we are having a lot of fun with it. And yeah, while there is a dating sim element to the gameplay we are going with the visual novel genre because we want to be able to tell a complex and multilayered story. Similar to what I try to do with Cup and Quill. Ultimately its about romance, but the twists and turns for each character arc that happen along the way are what will hopefully make it something special.
Hi there everyone. I'm just dropping by to make a special announcement about a new project I'm working on. I'm working with a friend to create a Furry Visual Novel called "The Jade Temple". This game will feature several fully playable storylines with multiple datable characters (including a special Jade Temple universe version of a certain squirrel you're already pretty familiar with). My very talented friend Kon is handling the art while I am writing the storylines and dialog for several of the character routes.
If you want to learn more about this project and follow its development you can find updates about it along with my other projects on my Twitter account.
Thank you ^^. Right now there is no official release schedule. But I'm hard at work writing the first character route. And all of the main character designs have been completed.
Heya everybody! I hope you’re having a nice relaxing weekend :D. Tomorrow’s episode of Cup and Quill is going to be a big jump in art quality. I’ve changed how I make the comic a bit and as a result after tomorrow’s new episode Cup and Quill’s schedule will be changing to every other Sunday. This will allow me to make a better quality comic for you as well as focus on some other art projects I’m working on.
Starting tomorrow the Spanish version of Cup and Quill, La Taza y La Pluma, will be updating on a regular schedule every single Sunday!
If you want to see my other art projects and spoiler free sneak peeks of Cup and Quill you can find all my art and more at this link:
I’m pretty excited to see how the readers respond. I didn’t make any comics at all for 2021 until tomorrow’s episode. I just spent 2 months improving my abilities. Teaching myself new techniques and digital tools that I was unfamiliar with.
