The final chapter of Ebony Pin has been released. I would like to say thank you, to all the readers who have had the kindness and patience to hang in there and bear with my naive vision for the story. I am truly grateful for your support! Writing Ebony Pin has been a great challenge, and has often taken me out of my comfort zones, yet at the same time it has helped me become more aware of where exactly the comforts in my writing lay, that altogether I am grateful for the experience it has given me.
On a different note, I have been reading several great novels, mostly from other platforms (several of which have been penned by David Talon, a great author with a presence here on Tapas itself https://tapas.io/series/Shadowlands/info). The wonderful reading these novels have given has inspired me to re-examine my own writing, and I have decided to take a temporary break from the platform to do so. As such I will not be very responsive for a while, and will have no stories planned for future release. Thank you again for your support, and I wish you all marvelous literary adventures ahead of you!
Christian, thank you so much for the kind words! I'm within striking distance of finishing the 4th book of the 'Terramagica' series on Royal Road, so I am concentrating on that at the moment. Once the initial draft's done, I'm going to let it sit for a bit and concentrate on Shadowlands, so I can go back to Terramagica with fresh eyes. Writing is a journey, and I'll be here when you come back. Take care! ~DT
I'd like to post an announcement to my subscribers who have read The Witch Who Lost Her Head. I am about to release a new series that is unrelated to TWWLHH, whose style and mood is radically different from it, especially at the start, and would like to warn you to better brace yourself if you happen to want to check it out.
I also wish to apologize for having not prioritized the sequel of TWWLHH. Because it is in part a mystery story, I want to have a full grasp of the plot before I commit myself to writing. Also, because it would be the first second book to any series I've ever written, I must confess that I am very nervous about writing it, which is why I've decided to write out a story I had conceived since my teenage years to give myself more experience first.
Thank you all for the support you've given, and I hope that you will be able to enjoy yourself, reading!
So... I got curious about Wattpad and decided to check it out... and found out for the very first time that it is blocked in my region...
Sometimes I just need a reminder as to what an utter dinosaur I am as far as tech is concerned... I'll never be able to write a sci-fi novel at this rate...
It kind of simplifies things for me, however...
This is for subscribing to the Curse of Immortals. Always makes my day when someone decides to invest in something I put a ton of effort into. It just goes to show that each minute spent thinking about the plot, and all else was worth it. Welcome to the currently small family. And I hope together, we reach a higher stage someday.
