So, I may have to prolong the Devoured World's break for a few more months,
BUT
I'll keep the novel version going while the break continues, maybe it will catch up by the time its back-
The break extension is not because of any bad reasons. On the contrary Its mostly because of the art and commission work tossed on me, really came out of nowhere recently.
[I may throw in surprise updates to the comic if I got the time though.]
Wrote up the first few episodes of the Novel Version of Devoured World, Gonna just start posting the novel now and the comic will resume in about 2 more weeks~
Had an idea, looking at animes/ comics and some of them also having light novels.
So I've been thinking- what if-- as I'm continuing forward with my Devoured World Comic (when it resumes in a couple weeks) I also make a novel version running alongside it, which obviously will catch up and go ahead of the comics - cause it is faster for me write the story than to draw it weekly.
So people have a choice to either read ahead of the comic, or ignore the novel and just see the weekly comic's updates.
Wow, its a neat idea. Yeah I would be up for that. Thought I like the drawings too. I like the coincidence that I am about to release a side story novel of Acroalis too. Well one that I started but didnt finish. But It will be done soon. So we both got something read now lol xD.
I'd believe that if you tried to create a 'definitive 'novel it may suddenly take more time than you think, because you will already have to plan the comic alongside, but if you already have a script far ahead or are ready to try to brave this challenge then go ahead, I will surely try to read your story both ways.
Also I personally would try to mend the rift between text and pictures by inserting as many pictures into the novel, well atleast for all those chapters you've already drawn, turning the first few chapters of your novel into a kind of graphic novel+, the comic, but with a lot of extra text.
Best wishes and energy for your projects,
Duke of Oool
Yeah, i have a script going ahead, thats a reason why i considered this, and I was thinking of adding occasional pictures to the novel version- just having the important stuff illustrated.
