Hello there! It's been a while since I last came here, and even longer since I updated Ultor. Most of you might want to know if I'm going to continue working on that particular series. To give a short answer: I won't.
I'm sure this is a disappointing thing to hear, but Ultor has a VERY long story that I can't hope to complete on my own. For now it's unfortunately on an indefinite hiatus. I'm not sure if I'll return to it, though I would love to eventually come back to finish Ultor, either to revise it to be less taxing for me to complete, or with a team to take on the demanding production. For now it is no longer going to update. I apologize to anyone who has been excitedly following the progression of Ultor; your support has and will always be important to me.
What now then?
I am still busy with the other things I have been pursuing, but I still want to draw comics. They are still the passion of my life and I won't be quitting anytime soon! In fact I have a short comic I've been meaning to post on this account for some time now! After that, I'll be posting more comics, though none are going to be as ambitious as Ultor. Not yet, anyway.
I've refunded as many donations on patreon as I can, since it doesn't feel right to take them as long as I'm not making comics. It will still be up, but I'm going to do some long overdue spring cleaning and dust off my twitter while I'm at it.
A big thank you to all my readers and an extra thank you to everyone who has supported me one way or another. You make all the difference to a small and confused comics artist like me. Expect more from me in the near future!
I'm sure the silence has been worrying, but the reason for this long, quiet hiatus has been related to personal IRL problems, and they have been consistent and not much changed, until recently. Fighting depression isn't super interesting, so I have been keeping quiet the last half year to both spare you all and to preserve the energy I need to get better.
Now that things are starting to change a little, I've gotten more time and energy to work on Ultor in earnest, and I'm planning on changing the update schedule, to lighten my workload a little.
Once Ultor comes back, I will provide more details. Thank you for your patience and support! Next time we meet, it will hopefully be within the coming months.
Hello, fellas! And, like, Merry New Years or something. Ahem. Here's a small update.
So, Ultor's been on hiatus for a while, and sadly will continue to be so, because I'm in a big personal slump. Long story short I have depression and I've been fighting it for a couple of years, and 2020 was just really rough. I'll continue to take time off to stabilize myself, which unfortunately means I can't tell you when Ultor will be back up again. This could take a long time.
Until I can responsibly start updating on Ultor again, I'll try keep you up to date once in a while, in case anything happens.
As always I implore you to stay safe and sound. See ya around.
I concur, take whatever time you need to get back to regular art production (or just life in general.)
Soft laugh with head shake, yep, 2020 was a hard year. (If you live in the USofA it looks like 2021 is going to be an interesting year.)
don't worry about it - your work is amazing and well worth whatever time it is - also, your wellbeing is much more important to us than a shorter wait :)
Hi folks! Remember when I got sick about 3 weeks ago? Yeah, I do 'cus it was horrible. Hated it. Swore I'd never catch a flu like that again.
But then last Sunday I just so happened to get absolutely piledrived by the exact same symptoms, but multiplied by 10 and with less breathing rights, so I've been pathetically bedridden for 5 days now. Riveting stuff, I tell ya.
This means I can't work on Ultor. And a LOT of stuff has kind of piled up while I tried to uppercut whatever pesky little virus I've got crawling in me... Which means it's everyone's favorite! HIATUS TIME!
I really wanted to avoid this at all costs, but I don't think I should trade Ultor for my good health. I'll make sure to recover, sort out my stuff and then get myself back on track with this.
Sadly that means you all will have to wait for more updates. Sad tuba noise. What can ya do?
For the time being, my Patreon is also on hold for a bit, but if you still want to donate some sweet coins to me, you can still chuck some cents in there, though the system will only charge you once. Otherwise, there's my Kofi.
Anyhoot, I really appreciate you all, and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe. Peace!
