Jiho wants to fit in and just live a normal life, BUT because of his obvious non-local genetics and difficulty navigating social norms, he is always treated as an outsider. While he’s always highly praised by his elders for being a ‘good kid’ by doing exactly as he’s told, it also made him susceptible to solicitors and bad actors using him for their own personal gain.
As unfortunate situations pile on, Jiho’s faith in the genuine goodwill of society fades into nothing but deep anxiety. He curls up into a state of denial, wishing, and hoping for things to go back to the way it used to be, back to the time where he was oblivious to reality.
This is where Jiho meets Jaesun, another student, who genuinely treats Jiho well, but Jiho finds it impossible to blindly accept such a reality, thinking that there must be something he would have to sacrifice in return.
And his entire world is turned upside down when he meets Jaesun again at his new school.
