Precious Daughter of the Greatest Martial Arts Villain
Chapter 1
Without warning, someone burst into the room.
It was a man a little over six feet tall, with long, cascading red hair.
Wow...
Out of all the people in my previous and current lives, he was the most handsome man I had ever seen.
It wasn’t just his good looks. There was a certain elegance to him that would have been enthralling if only he didn’t exude a chilling, terrifying aura.
When I finally snapped out of staring at his beautiful face, I realized someone was standing behind him.
Black hair, red lips, porcelain white skin, and a beauty mark just under his right eye. He was young, but I could see that he was going to grow up to be gorgeous.
Completely caught off guard by the sight of these two handsome guys, I froze with my mouth agape.
I know we’re meeting for the first time, but you two are extremely gorgeous. My eyes feel blessed.
Ah, it would have been nice if I could talk.
Unfortunately, I was only about a hundred days old.
“Goo goo!”
I babbled and laughed as I reached out to the handsome man. Seoryeong, my nanny, belatedly bowed to him.
“Greetings to the Demon King, the King of All Things, and the future of the Demonic Sect, the Vice Sect Leader.”
Come again? What was with that cult-like greeting? Also, did she just say “Demonic Sect”?
The man looked down at me and then spoke.
“Cheon Lihwa.” Through his crimson lips, he continued in his low, chilling voice. “That will be her name.”
Wait, who is this guy and why is he the one determining my name?
Wait a minute. Cheon Lihwa?
“Ryeon, come and say hello to the child.”
“Yes, master.”
At the man’s command, the boy, who had been standing behind him, reached out to grab my hand. Despite his warm touch, his expression remained cold.
“Nice to... meet you. I’m Ak Wuryeon.”
Hey, you need to brush up on your acting. It’s so obvious that you don’t want to say hi—
Huh? Wait a minute! Who did you say you were?
Ak Wuryeon?! Did you say Ak Wuryeon?
That meant that the red-haired young man was...
I looked at him in terror. Seoryeong, who had been holding me in her arms, whispered softly in my ear.
“Sect Leader Cheon Ma has finally given you a name! Congratulations!”
Cheon Lihwa, Ak Wuryeon, and Cheon Ma...
There was only one thing I could do next.
“Waaaaah!”
* * *
Up until this point, I’d thought I’d been reincarnated into a wealthy household. Based on the unfamiliar clothes and the interior, I had thought I was the child of a wealthy family overseas, not in some Wuxia novel.
Why did this place have to be the Demonic Sect? And why did I have to be born as the daughter of Cheon Ma?!
“Waaaah!”
“Why does she keep crying?”
It’s because of you! You!
Isn’t it obvious when I bawl my eyes out whenever you show up?! Even a beast would have picked up on it by now.
Seoryeong, who couldn’t bring herself to say it was probably because of him, hesitatingly responded, “W-well...”
Cheon Ma’s voice dropped even lower.
“I asked you why she keeps crying.”
Stop coming every day! You’re Cheon Ma! The Leader of the Demonic Sect and the final boss of this Wuxia novel! You must be busy doing bad things, so why do you keep on coming here?!
“Waaah!”
The more I cried, the more Cheon Ma’s face hardened, though I suppose he had always looked stoic to begin with.
Seoryeong turned pale and began to stutter nervously.
“I... I... am not sure, sir...”
“You don’t know? You are her nanny, and the best you can come up with is that you don’t know?”
As Cheon Ma’s silence prolonged, Seoryeong began to tremble like a leaf.
Unable to withstand the pressure, she hurriedly got down on her hands and knees, dropping her head to the ground with a thud.
“M-my apologies! I have failed you! I do not deserve to live!”
“You are right.”
His tone was calm, but the meaning behind his words was chilling.
Why does my nanny have to die when this is all because of you?!
Bewildered, I stopped crying for a moment.
Just then, Ak Wuryeon, who had been standing silently like a shadow, bowed his head and spoke.
“Master, Miss Lihwa might get startled, so I will take care of this matter out of sight.”
Why are you getting involved?
Truthfully, he was also part of the reason why I was crying, since he was the one who was going to tear me apart and kill me in the future.
“Hmm...” Cheon Ma lifted an eyebrow as if he hadn’t thought about that possibility and then nodded in acquiescence. “You have a point. Take her out of my si—”
“Waah! Waah! Waaaaah!”
Why does Seoryeong have to die?! If anyone should die, it’s you, Mr. Public Enemy Number One!
I was so mad that I started hiccuping.
As I continued to cry uncontrollably, Cheon Ma tilted his head and said, “She’s so loud.”
His voice lacked soul, as if he were simply stating the facts as they were.
That was why I had no idea why he bothered to come see the crying baby every day. He never even got irritated or angry. It was getting to the point where I couldn’t tell if he was a human or a machine when he’d stare at me silently with his doll-like face.
That’s why they call you the heartless monster!
Cheon Ma wasn’t just any old villain. He had no morals or ethics, no standards of right or wrong. He didn’t like or dislike evil deeds. He just did what was needed, sometimes even doing good deeds when necessary.
As a villain, I thought he should just be consistent and stick to doing bad things. His unpredictable behavior made people take notice that he was mad. It was no wonder he had gained a notorious reputation in this world!
“Waaah!”
His crimson eyes remained indifferent, like he wouldn’t even care whether I stopped breathing from all this crying or not.
Flustered, Seoryeong looked at me and then cautiously asked, “I-if you will allow it, may I please try to calm down Miss Lihwa?”
“Haven’t you been failing to do that very thing right now?”
I’m telling you that I’ll stop crying once you stop showing your face.
“I can get her to stop crying. Please let me try comforting Miss Lihwa.”
Cheon Ma, who had been staring down at the top of Seoryeong’s head, stepped back.
“I’ll allow it.”
“Thank you, sir!”
After nodding several moments, she hastily stood up and lifted me into her arms.
“Sweet little miss, what has upset you? Don’t cry. My heart breaks for you when you cry like this. My pretty little miss, your eyes are getting puffy. Please stop crying. Please.”
She soothed me with a warm, calming voice, as she continued to wipe away my tears and kissed my forehead.
Between my villainous dad and the boy who was going to grow up to murder me, how could I help but cry?
However, with my face buried in Seoryeong’s arms, I stopped sobbing. If I continue to cry, Seoryeong will be in danger...
“Wait outside to meet your demise.”
My eyes widened in shock at his bone-chilling words. You’re still going to kill her even though I’ve stopped crying?!
I guess he hadn’t said anything during the past ten days of watching me cry because that was his own way of giving her a chance.
“As you command.”
Even though she was facing death, she remained calm. Seoryeong didn’t even glare at me resentfully. She just simply patted my back and forced a smile. With a quiver, she said, “Please be happy, Miss Lihwa.”
Even in her last moments, she wished for my happiness like a fool.
With my tiny hands, I grabbed her clothes tightly.
“Goo goo!”
As she tried to put me back in my crib, she cautiously glanced over at Cheon Ma.
“M-miss... Please let me go. I need to go now.”
I held onto her clothes even more fiercely.
“Baa!”
I know you’ll die if you go outside now!
Put in an awkward position, Seoryeong gently pushed my hand away. It wasn’t like she could forcefully remove my hand.
She was really going to go out to die.
Are you dumb?! You should just use me as an excuse to live!
I began to squeeze out more tears.
“Waah!”
“She’s crying again.”
Cheon Ma narrowed his eyes. When I felt those red eyes on me, I felt goosebumps all over my body, like prey being stared down by a predator.
I couldn’t stop crying though. Tears were the only weapon I had.
I wailed as I held out my arms to Seoryeong.
My voice had gotten so hoarse from crying that I sounded even more pitiful.
“Waah! Waah!”
Seoryeong, who had been nervously looking around, finally stuck out her finger again to me to hold.
“M-miss! I’m sorry! I won’t do that again! You can hold it again! My clothes might be too rough for you. Here, please grab my finger again.”
As soon as I grabbed ahold of her slender finger, I stopped crying.
Cheon Ma raised an eyebrow.
“It seems she does not wish to part from you.”
“M-my apologies!”
He stared at my hand gripping Seoryeong’s finger and then looked down at his own hand.
They say that when you reach the highest level in martial arts, you can transcend the physical body. His hand was pale and smooth, without a single scar, which was atypical for a martial artist.
What’s he doing?
He had that thousand-yard stare as he looked down at his hand.
I sure hope he’s not thinking about whom to kill with that hand.
Feeling so nervous that I wanted to poop, Cheon Ma lowered his arm and turned away.
“Figure out why she cried.”
“As you command.”
What was that? Why did you pause for that long? You freaked me out!
I’m going to keep crying if you keep on coming back, so don’t come back! Stay away! Ptooey! Ptooey! Ptooey!
