If you read my main project Seemingly Dark on Tapas then you've already met Miguel 'Mick' Martinez, mailman and caretaker to a monster child. Last October I wrote and illustrated his back story for inktober, but I've wanted to redraw it digitally since then, and create a space to put the short shot comics I make of his life before the paranormal took over, when his biggest struggle was figuring out his identity. Anyway starting June 1st I'll start uploading De La Chanza here, so make sure to share and subscribe if you enjoy wholesome LGBTQ+ stories <3
this is such a cool project, our best boy deserves all the spotlight you are giving to him, and the cover is beautiful, represents him perfectly, he's just that full of love ^^
'call me Mickey' is a coming of age story about an 18 year old boy named Miguel Martinez, and the road to figuring out and accepting himself after he becomes internet friends with Reggie Parker in 2008.
But they definitely aren’t in love or anything.
This story started off as a fun little inktober comic. a slice of life spin-off of my main comic, Seemingly Dark, that focuses on the lives of Miguel Martinez and his boyfriend Reggie.
This is place to separate the mini self-indulgent comics I make from time to time from the main SD story line.
