(Starting this story from here cause I don't even have an idea what they even won. I might add to it in the future or simply leave it like that). _____ The crowd cheered for us as we were standing infront of them on the platform. I stood proudly and smiled brightly.
"How are you so happy?" Blake asked.
"What do you mean?" I questioned with the smile still on my face, not looking away from the crowd.
"I mean... you only got the second place and you're so happy like you won the golden medal."
"I am happy. Second place is not bad at all. I'm so proud of myself."
He snickered. Disgustingly so. "Second place will get you nowhere. I really do not understand why you're this happy."
I sighed and finally turned to look at him. "You know.. I'm much more happy than you will ever be." Once those words left my mouth, I thought to myself that maybe it was a better idea to just ignore him. Fighting will solve nothing.
But it was already too late. He pushed me and I lost my balance, falling backwards on the ground. I could hear the gasps that went throughout the crowd. One of the janitors rushed over to me. But I did not stay down. He needed to learn his place.
I jumped over the first-place stand and knocked him over. Now it was his turn to fall down. But seeing this coming, he landed well. Much more than I had at least.
He looked up at me from his seat on the ground. I crouched down on the stand.
"All of this pride, the crowd cheering so loudly, it all went way deep into your head. You need to accept your win quietly. For the meantime, you do not deserve this." I held his golden medal infront of him. Waving it infront of his shocked face was amusing.
He felt his chest and neck for the medal before looking back up at me. "Give it back!"
"Why won't you try to get it back on your own, mh? You aren't first place for nothing."
He glared at me. Jumping to his feet, he tugged on the string that held his wings together. I did the same.
He lunged towards me and I jumped up, successfully avoiding him. As he chased me through the air, we made our way out of the big, widely open windows placed at the top. I flew towards the woods.
"Give it back right now and I might let you walk away unharmed!"
"Oh no... I'm so scared" I said in a mocking tone. I came into a sudden halt when I almost hit a tree. I made a dive down as I tried not to collide with branches and leaves.
When I finally landed on the grassy ground, my heart was pounding hard against my chest. My hair was wild and my wings were fluffed up. Leaves and small branches were stuck between the feathers.
"Damn..."
"Woah!" Something suddenly bumped into me, making me fall down on the ground. I turned onto my back and was greeted with a foot slamming to my chest.
"Oww.." I reached my hand out, pushed his leg off and sat up.
"Where's my medal?" He asked angrily.
Scratching at my neck, I looked around. "Ummm... I might've lost it..?"
He kicked me in the stomach. Not hard, but it made me fall back on the ground again.
"Ughh.. That's only a piece of cheap plastic colored with probably even cheaper gold color. Don't tell me you thought that gold was real."
He lifted his leg, as if to send it my way again. "You're gonna hit me again, and I'm going to fight back and make sure Dad knows!"
That made him stop. I stood up and dusted myself off. He turned around and opened his wings as if to fly. But a moment later he closed them and turned to me.
"Where are we?"
I looked around us and realized we were in the middle of the woods, surrounded by all sorts of greens and colorful wild flowers. In every direction I was looking at, it seemed like the woods had no end.
