Ok. I think I am a fan right about now. I love your art. I love the digital painting, I love how the eye must be trained to find all the different forms in your background. The palette matches the mood. It is not dark and heavy, it is not light. It is pensive and self-mutilating, as you pointed out. It is an ongoing reflection on the self. I am not quite sure what deserves self-abuse in your enjoying the bickering between online entities. However, what I see is an odd to the fake. Metals were always valued for their pureness and thus, the development of an industry meant to swindle the buyer into believing a metal is more precious than it really is. So, when we tie all of this together, the reader has the impression you are aiming at how this online world is in fact only a fake rendition of reality. Very nice.
